Replacement grease seals. Double-lip design helps keep water out and grease in.

I ordered tires and grease seals. Parts were great, but one of the grease seals was damaged bc they shipped them in the same box with one of the tires in only a padded envelope. The is not the first time I've had issues with how etrailer ships ther parts.

I am sorry for how the seals were packed in the order. We can have them replaced. Keep an eye out on your email. We will be in touch.

by:

James helped me with my order and everything worked out great. The seals were the correct size
and sealed the grease from coming back into the drum.

FYI these seals fit the dexter 3000lb axles.

Also I received them sooner than expected.

Thank you James!

by:

No one in town had these and I had no good reference numbers off of the old seal - etrailer's customer service reps helped me match up a new seal based on my axle make and bearing size and these are a perfect fit.

Thanks for taking the time to follow up with me. Ive only put a few hundred miles of use on the trailer but everything is working great. Ive actually recommended etrailer to my father, a friend of mine and anyone at work who would listen made easier by the fact that I had everything I ordered shipped to my job instead of home. Barring an emergency situation that requires an immediate solution you have my business in the future.

by:

These double lip seals keep the dust and water out of the bearings. I repack my boat trailer bearings with red-n-tacky grease every other year and replace the bearing seals. I have never been left at the side of the road.

by:

etrailer has the best customer service and online order process. I ordered these seals for my travel trailer, trusting that the website information that said they would fit my trailer was correct. I got an email the day after I ordered them (I ordered in the evening) stating to the effect of thanking me for the repeat business and letting me know that the seals had been shipped. In that email, it said I would receive them NLT the next Wednesday, I was a little bummed because I wanted to install them this weekend, but what ever. Much to my surprise they showed up in the mail this morning, 5 days early. Woohoo! They were the exact replacement for my trailer, part number matched etc. After they showed in the mail today, I got an email from Carol C telling me the showed that they had been delivered, and politely asking if I would do this review. I think that that type of customer engagement in todays world is a rarity. Keep up the great work George J. and Carol C. You and your great product at a reasonable price are what make me think of etrailer.com any time I need trailer or towing products.

by:

Full bearing repack requires a new set of seals. These work great.

by:

Received the grease seals quicker than promised. And undamaged. Thank you very much. I will continue to use etrailer.com.

by:

Exactly as described. I used e-trailer’s grease seal guide and based on their guide, the seals were a perfect fit for my 2023 Jayco 264bh.

by:

They work great, never worry about water getting past them, I repack boat trailer bearings every year and always buy these seals from etrailer

by:

No issues, works fine. Be sure to liberally grease between seal lips and keep everything clean. Important that buyers tighten axle nut properly for long life, as well as making sure bearings are properly lubed with quality grease. I also balanced the trailer wheels, as an out-of-balance wheel will shorten bearing life.

by:

They were shipped in the same box as springs. Half of them are bent from the springs. What the heck etrailer

You are right. I would be unhappy too. I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you.

by:

Website is easy to use, search filters are accurate and function well.
Order and shipping information is quick and detailed.
etrailer is my 'Go To' site for parts.

by:

Navigating the website is easy, the store selection is thorough and the shipping was extremely efficient. This site will be my go-to for trailer supplies.

by:

Good quality double lip oil seal shipped in 2 days, who could ask for a better experience

by:

Nice quality. Used on a 5th Wheel RV.

by:

I have always been satisfied with the help I get from etrailer! Very professional

by:

Exact replacement, quality seems good.

by:

Received in ziplock bag without any mar kings.

by:

Like others say great seal, good selection, fast delivery. I was a bit surprised at the E-Trailer packaging. I ordered 12 seals for 3 different SIZE trailers and all 12 were in ONE BAG. So some seals are VERY CLOSE in size to each other, like 2.33 x1.50 vs a 1.68. Needless to say you have to be a McGiver to be doing your own seals anyway, but I had to "Mike" each one and look for numbers on each & seperate for boat or Dune Buggy Trailers. Thats another thing, Taiwan & China ? And the numbers on these new seals are different than the standard Dexter Transcom National or NOK. Good thing my old seals had those numbers, these dont. Keep good NOTES ! Good Luck next owner if I sell.

by:

Very nice double lip seals….at least as nice or better than the original Dexter seals…AND for w WAY better price.

Super fast shipping, too!

by:

just packed wheel bearings on the boat. had etrailer seals in and replaced with the same. no leaks. great product and no hassle getting them

these are the best seals for replacing and packing wheel bearing, they fit tight and allow no water to get in. The grease seals fit tight and allow no water to get in. And you cant beat the price. I always have a extra set on hand

by:

Just replaced after 11,000 tough (Alaska, Yukon…) miles. These seals held up well.

by:

hopefully its the right part, if not that is on me for looking it up wrong but I won't get a chance to put that to the test for another two weeks, shipping was so fast I guess I could have waited a bit longer to order...

by:

Great product that has always served me well. Fast service - shipped same day within hours.

  • Replacing Spindle of Dexter 3,500 lb Axle Due to Wear
There really isn't a solution we can provide aside from replacing the spindle since yours is damaged beyond repair. Since you have a 3,500 lb EZ lube axle the correct replacement spindle would be the part # TRU74FR. I recommend taking it to a shop since installing a spindle does require precision welding.

  • Is Grease Seal TCM171255 The Same As Double Lip 10-19 Grease Seal?
The TCM171255 is the same as the 10-19 Grease seal # RG06-050 so the Bearing Kit for #84 Spindle, L44649/L68149 Bearings, 10-19 Double Lip Seal # BK2-100 you were looking at would be correct for your spindle since it includes inner bearing # L68149, outer bearing # L44649, races, and grease seal # RG06-050. I included a video of the # BK2-100 for you to take a look at.

As you mentioned both feature the same 1.719 inch inner diameter and 2.565 inch outer diameter and both have the double-lip design that will help it to hold up better over time. The # RG06-050 does include 2 seals while the # 58846 includes only 1 seal. Both will work exactly the same so if you are needing 2 seals I recommend simply taking the route that ends up being the cheapest at the...

I recommend the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3,500-lb E-Z Lube Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 - Galvanized # AKIHUB-545-35-G-EZ-K if you are just looking for the hub for a rotor to fit over, or # K08-435-05 if you are seeking an integrated rotor. Additionally the # 84556UC3 is not going to fit your spindle because the # L68149 outer bearing it contains is going to be slightly too big. You could continue to use your old hubs and simply replace the bearings with the # LM48548 and # L44649. • Grease Seal Recommendation for Dexter 4,400 lb Trailer Hub
If the number you found on the grease seal you pulled out of the hub was 473336 then that means the correct replacement seal is the part # RG06-050. This is commonly seen on the 3,500 lb axles but what also factors into this is that the 3,500 lb axle is one of the most popular axle capacities and 4,400 is not. Normally the next size up that you see from 3,500 is 5,200 which is why your hub components aren't listed in an easy of a way to find.

  • The Difference of Single Lip And Double Lip Grease Seals
The difference between the single lip and double lip seals is that the double lip grease seal will have two rubber lips that are in contact with the spindle. The best way to determine what grease seals are needed for your spindle is to get the part numbers from the inner and outer bearings from that spindle. If you have the bearing...
