How To Determine Replacement Grease Seals On Fifth Wheel Trailer

Question:
I have a 1994 Kit Kit Campion 26 BF 5th wheel with ST/75/R15 tires. What seal do I need for the trailer bearing? The vidio shows a RG06-050.

Expert Reply:
The TruRyde Grease Seals, part # RG06-050 are used on 3,500 lb axles. The inner diameter of the seal is 1.719 inches and the outer diameter is 2.565 inches. If that matches the dimensions of your spindle and your hub, then these will work great for you. You can also remove the seal from your hub and spindle and see if you can find the numbers as shown in the attached photo.
If you cannot find the numbers on your seals, you can remove a hub from your axle and use a digital caliper like part # PTW80157 and measure the spindle on the axle and the inside dimension of the hubs where the seals fit to be sure.
