E-Z Lube and Easy Grease-Compatible Hub for Simple Lubrication

The grease cap on this hub is specially designed to work with your Dexter E-Z Lube or etrailer Easy Grease axle to make lubricating bearings quick and easy. Just remove the plug on the grease cap, attach a grease gun to the zerk fitting on the end of the spindle, and inject the grease. It will flow easily to both inner and outer bearings. Not only does this make lubricating the bearings easy, but it also helps to prevent corrosion of the hub. This is because you can lubricate the bearings without the mess of taking apart the entire assembly.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: 8 on 6-1/2 means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: 5 on 4-1/2 means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

The hub assemblies I bought worked fine for my trailer, thank you Martha O. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get American made products but overall the Chinese parts fit fine. The packing left a little to be desired, one dust cap was dented and I had to do some filing on it before I could hammer it in to place. One roller bearing casing was also dented a small amount but the bearing was still smooth so I went ahead with it. The parts did travel from Missouri to California and the box was pretty beat up. Maybe etrailer could double bag the parts? The box did get here in just a few days so they shipping was good. I would buy these parts again if I ever needed to.

It’s been a year since I replaced my hubs and bearings and I’ve had no issues. I’ve probably used my boat over 30 times in the last year. I should think about re-greasing the bearings, it’s about time. Still happy with my purchase from etrailer.

by:

Perfect fit for my ‘99 tracker boat trailer once I did the tear down and confirmed the bearing/race and seal numbers. Manufacturer can’t even look it up by VIN if it’s 1999 or older models.

by:

I use these components on my boat trailer and they meet my expectations! The outer races are already pressed in and it takes minimal tools and time to complete the project! Highly recommend!

by:

you put everything in the same box, Box was broke open from shipper package that contaned bearings ,races and seals beat to hell.
You could at least wrapped things to prevent damage.

by:

etrailer was very helpful. The hub that was sent turned out to be the wrong one for my trailer. A refund was promptly issued. The customer service was kind and helpful. I will definitely do business with etrailer again.

One year on the trailer and I am totally satisfied.

by:

I placed my order for hubs and bearing w Bay in customer service as I had a couple questions which she answered well. The package was shipped quickly. It arrived with one problem. I called Customer service and spoke with Kate who was very helpful and provided a solution and to replace a item. I was called later by Patrick the shipping lead who assured me the replacement was shipped and apologized for the error. Always excellent service at Etrailer. The only place i will shop for trailer parts.

by:

Couldn't be more satisfied! I change from 5 on 5 to 5 on 4.5. I've been rolling on these hubs about 2500 miles. Every time I jack up the trailer I spin the tire, smooth as ever. Thankx LSD

1 year - 35k miles Im still very happy with the set of idler and brake hubs, bearings are still rolling smooth. I only use 1 type of grease Lucas RedNTacky2, about every 1k miles pull the rubber plug, 1/2 pump of grease not too much or youll blow the seal! Most common problem people have! Ill be buying another set for the trailer Im building. Keep making people happy, Thankx LSD

The team at etrailer helped me find the right parts for my trailer. They provided excellent customer service.

by:

Ordered the hub and recipe it very quickly. They provided a video for reference on installation. It was very well made and easy to install. Very pleased with it, but the best part was the customer service. The old hub and bearings were so destroyed that I couldn’t get any numbers off of it. The lady from etrailer stayed on the phone and helped me research it until we found the right hub and bearings!!! In the end it was exactly what I needed and as happy as I am with the product, I’m more happy about the friendly and knowledgeable customer service they provided!!! Highly recommend the company and the products they sell!!!!

by:

My old bearings were superseded by these bearings included in this kit. Assembly was a breeze. These were marked as shipped on SUNDAY! Thanks, you have my business.

  • How to Determine the Correct Replacement Hubs for a 1994 Bayliner Capri
Really it's going to boil down to which spindle type your Bayliner Capri has. Hi Dave; the old Dexter DB-35 brakes are designed for 3,500 lb axles. I believe that was a hub/rotor disc brake kit so the Kodiak Disc # K2R35D will work for your trailer as long as you add a hub like # AKIHUB-545-35-G-EZ-K with a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern and have wheels that are 14" or larger. You could also replace it using the # K2HR35D which has the full hub/rotor.

It appears TMW is a overseas company which I could not find much information. The 46210 is a common hub number for a 3,500lb idler hub with 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. This would use either the Idler Hub # AKIHUB-545-35-G-K for standard spindles or the Easy Grease Hub # AKIHUB-545-35-G-EZ-K if your spindle has a grease zerk on the end of the spindle.
