Mud Flaps Questions and Answers

  • Preventing Exhaust from Melting Mudflaps of Rock Tamers # ERT00108
  • If you can install the Rock Tamers so that the flaps are not situated right in front of your exhaust pipe, they should work very well for you. However, if the flaps fall right in front of where your exhaust discharges, you will likely have the same problem. Using an exhaust tip to redirect the exhaust discharge downward would prevent future damage. The tip you need would depend on the diameter of your existing exhaust pipe. For 4 inch diameter tailpipe, you would use something like...

  • Recommended Mud Flaps for 2013 Ford F150
  • Assuming your F150 has the factory add-on fender flares, I would recommend the # HL57591 rear and # HL56591 front mud flaps. Although the Husky Liners mud flaps require some drilling for installation (see linked videos), they are a bit heavier than the WeatherTech flaps and in my opinion would be slightly better suited for a rural environment. Husky liners also offers flaps for the front and rear wheels, while WeatherTech is offered for the rear only. If you are only needing flaps for...

The # WT110026-120026 will fit your truck if it has the factory add-on fender flares and running boards that DO NOT come within 2 inches of the wheel well. If they do come within 2 inches, the front mud flap will not fit, and you'd need to go with the rear # WT120026 flaps only. If you do not have the fender flares, and the running boards DO NOT come within 2 inches of the wheel wells, use part # WT110024-120024....
