Blue Ox TigerTrak Rear Axle Stabilizer Review

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Blue Ox line of TigerTrak Rear-Axle Stabilizers. Now be sure to enter your vehicle in our fit guide, so you can get the exact TigerTrak designed for your application. Now the TigerTrak system is designed to keep our axle squarely under the frame of our RV. It's going to create a connection point from the axle to the frame, so they can't move side to side anymore. This helps to eliminate a lot of common problems you're going to get with RVs. Especially, most RVs have an overhang behind that axle.

Blue Ox TigerTrak Rear Axle Stabilizer Installation - 2016 Thor Chateau

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Thor Chateau we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Blue Ox Tiger Trak Rear Axle Stabilizer for Motor Homes, part number TT2450.Now when we're driving our motor home down the road, we've all had that situation where we drove into a rut or a huge gust of wind came by, and the rear end started swaying. Now that's where our track bar is going to come in and help us out. Here's what our track bar looks like fully installed. It's going to mount in between the axle and the frame itself, and help support the axle and prevent any side to side movement without losing any up and down travel. Now this is also going to help minimize driver fatigue because it's going to minimize the effort that we have to put in to keep our vehicle in a straight line. Now our track bar and brackets are all made of a high strength alloy steel for extra durability. As you can see here, we just have a few brackets that are going to mount to the frame, and then our track bar is going to mount to that.

Blue Ox TigerTrak Rear Axle Stabilizer Road Test

Speaker 1: Here we're going to take a look at our TigerTrak in use. Here on the left, you'll see the movement in the springs before our installation of the TigerTrak, and on the right, you can see it after. Doing the same types of maneuvers and turns, you'll see after the TigerTrak's installed, we minimize the movement between the two yellow lines, which is going to translate into less tail wag against the rear of the motor home, whether that's caused by crosswinds or 18 wheelers or towed vehicles.

Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2017 Ford E-Series Cutaway

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Forrest River Sunseeker, on the forward E450 chassis, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar, part number RM-1139-176.Now, here's what our sway bar's going to look like installed. Now, sway bars are going to be the solution, at least upgraded sway bars, are going to be the solution to get rid of the body roll or the side to side movement of your coach. Basically, any time you have that, whether it's from a cross wind, passing motorist, like semis when they go by you get that big cross wind, or uneven pavement, basically it's going to cause the RV to want to move on the road side to side. That leads to a lot of driver input where you're trying to get it back on the road or keep it in the lane, which will wear you out after time. This is a 1/2 inch upgrade, so you're going to from a 7/8th inch steel sway bar to a inch and 3/8 chromoly 4140 sway bar. This is going to maximize the potential of this sway bar to keep everything in line. It gives you an attachment point from the frame, which we have here, to the axle at both sides.

Blue Ox TigerTrak Rear Axle Stabilizer Installation - 2017 Ford E Series Cutaway

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Forest River Sunseeker, on the E450 chassis we're going to be taking a look at, and we're also going to show you how to install the Blue Ox TigerTrak. This is a rear axle stabilizer, part number is TT2450. The TigerTrak system is designed to keep our axle squarely under the frame of our RV. It's going to create a connection point from the axle to the frame, so they can't move side to side anymore. This helps to eliminate a lot of common problems you're going to get with RVs, especially most RVs have a real long overhang behind that axle. Once a passing vehicle or a crosswind hits the backside of this RV, it doesn't take a whole lot to get that moving side to side.

Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2017 Ford E-Series Cutaway

Speaker 1: Today in our 2017 Forest River Sunseeker on the Ford E450 chassis, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Road Master rear anti-sway bar. Part number is RM-1139-147.Now here's our Road Master Sway Bar once we have it installed. Now this sway bar is going to do a much better job then our factory sway bar at preventing that side-to-side body roll. That's something that's typically going to happen if you're in severe crosswinds, passing an 18 wheeler, uneven road surfaces can cause the RV to lean a little bit side-to-side and ultimately that leads to you having to put more input into the steering to keep it tracking straight down the road. When we put on an upgrade this substantial you're going to have a noticeable difference in the way your RV handles so as you're cornering through mountain roads through stuff like that, you're RV will stay a lot more level, but also just in your normal straight highway style driving, a lot less driver input going in there. You're going to reduce the driver fatigue and you won't have to fight you steering wheel so much to keep going in a straight line. Now here's a good look at the difference you're going to have between the Road Master Sway Bar and your factor sway bar. The diameter of the factory sway bar is about an inch and an eighth.
