Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer Review

Speaker 1: Today we'll be having a look at the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer for Chevy, GMC and Workhorse motor homes, part number RM-RSSCP30. With our steering stabilizer installed, we're going to notice several things happening behind the wheel as we're driving our motor home. One being, as we're traveling down the road, the cross wind situation via it be from wind blowing across the highway or a passing semi truck, we're not going to be fighting the steering wheel quite as much to keep us straight. The steering stabilizer will give the effect of having the wheel staying more straight as we're tracking true and straight down the road. Also, as we encounter ruts in the highway, we won't be fighting the wheel as much of having the tires try to follow the ruts, it'll pass over them easier and you won't have this going on as you're driving. The side effect of this is you will find yourself being less tired as you arrive at your destination. There will be less driver fatigue because you're not constantly fighting the steering wheel trying to keep your RV traveling in a straight line. Now in the event of a front tire blowout, our steering stabilizer will also make it easier for us to maintain control to bring out motor home to a safe stop.

Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2015 Ford E-Series Cutaway

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Ford E-Series Motorhome, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar, part number: RM-1139-147. Here at etrailer.com, we've had a lot of customers complain about the characteristics of the way their motor home rides. Let's take a look at one of those now. Tom: Yeah, there's a lot of times that we get the body roll when we're stopping or going around a curve, where the unit will want to roll to the right or left. Speaker 1: Right. Tom: So we're hoping to minimize that for this whole unit, especially being top heavy like this.

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Ford E Series Motor Home we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Front Anti Sway Bar, part number RM-1139-176. Here at etrailer.com we've had a lot of customers complain about the characteristics of the way their motor home rides. Let's take a look at one of those now. Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer Installation - 2002 Ford F-53

Speaker 1: Today in our 2002 Ford F53 Chassis motor home, we will be having a look at and installing the Roadmaster reflex steering stabilizer with mounting brackets for class A motor homes, part number RM-RBK9-RSSA. Now here's what our steering stabilizer looks like installed. This steering stabilizer will help maintain our steering control when we're driving over terrain that is rough or streets that have lots of potholes on them. When you hit a pothole, sometimes your steering wheel will jerk either direction. This will help eliminate that and keep your vehicle tracking straight ahead. With our steering stabilizer installed, when we have a semi-truck passing us, we won't have the RV wanting to be pushed away by the wind current or when we have high winds blowing across the highway, creating a crosswind situation, we won't be having as much drift and fighting the steering wheel to keep the vehicle straight.

Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer Installation - 2016 Fleetwood Bounder Motorhome

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Fleetwood Bounder, we're gonna take a look at, and also show you how to install, the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer with Mounting Brackets, part number is: RM-RBK9-RSSA. Now here's what our steering stabilizer looks like installed. The basic principle behind this stabilizer is to keep our tires tracking straight down the road, whether we encounter uneven pavement, maybe grooves in the concrete, potholes, flat tires; there's many different things that can cause our vehicle to want to kind of wander a little bit as we're traveling down the road. This is gonna help prevent that. We've got a connection point from a fixed point on our vehicle here. In this case we're using the front sway bar mount. We've got a bracket that we add there.

Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2016 Fleetwood Bounder Motorhome

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Fleetwood Bounder, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Roadmaster Rear Anti Sway Bar, part number RM-1139-149.Now, our Roadmaster Anti Sway Bar is the perfect solution for those drivability issues we experience with our RVs. This creates a connection point from the frame across our axle, back up to our frame. It's going to work in unison side to side, so as we experience the body roll, or the top of our RV tipping one way or another, as it goes to tip one way, that frame's going to come down and it forces down on our end link, which is going to force down on our sway bar. That in turn is going to pull down on that opposite side, it helps to keep everything nice and level. Now, typically body roll is going to come from cornering. It can also come from uneven pavement, cross winds, passing 18 wheelers, or even sometimes blowouts, not as much there though. Having this in place is going to be in addition to the already existing sway bar, you can see we've got one here.

Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer Installation - 1999 Coachmen Mirada

Speaker 1: Today, on this 1999 Coachmen Mirada Moterhome, we'll be having a look at and showing you to how to install the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizers for workhorse P-series chassis motorhomes, Part #RM-RSSCP30. With our steering stabilizer installed, we're going to notice several things happening behind the wheel as we're driving our motorhome. One being, as we're traveling down the road, a crosswind situation via it be from wind blowing across the highway or a passing semi truck, we're not gonna be fighting the steering wheel quite as much to keep us straight. The steering stabilizer will give us the effect of having the wheel staying more straight as we're tracking true and straight down the road. Also, as we encounter ruts in the highway, we won't be fighting the wheel as much of having the tires try to follow the ruts. It'll pass over them easier and you won't have this going on as your driving.

Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2016 Fleetwood Bounder Motorhome

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Fleetwood Bounder, we're going to take a look at, and also show you how to install the Roadmaster front anti-sway bar, part number is RM-1139-140.All right, guys, we're going to talk just a little bit about the importance of this sway bar, why it would be important to put on your motor home. When the chassis comes out of the factory, it has a sway bar installed. We'll show you how to remove that in a little while, but it's just a standard sway bar. There's nothing special about it, and that's meant to work for most of the light duty and the medium duty applications that this chassis is going to be asked to do. Once these show up at the facility where they actually are going to make the motor home, they're adding a lot of weight onto that chassis, and it's kind of top heavy. Not all the weight's down on the bottom, so you're having a lot of weight that's up higher, and that creates what's called body roll.
