Aries AdvantEdge Headache Rack Review

This is one of the best looking headache racks I've put on a truck. I really like the look. They've designed it with looks in mind, and that's a lot of times why we put these on. The headache portion of itself or that area that's going to protect the back of the truck, going to protect that back glass, this is a nice heavy duty material. Today on our 2015 Chevy Silverado 3500 Crewcab, we're going to install part number BWPUCP7541BA. This is the B&W Custom Headache Rack with LED lights. These lights are fed by bonded 4-pole wiring like what is typically found in a 4-pole wiring harness. On the passenger side frame rail is a wiring connector you can use to access signals. Use of this connector will not cause the dash light messages.

  • DeeZee Custom Headache Rack - Mesh Screen - Aluminum - Silver Powder Coat Item # DZ95058 is not compatible with Tonneau covers because its brackets are L-shaped and will hang down into the bed. • Headache Rack Recommendation for Use with Toolbox That Sits on Bed Rails

The Aries rack part # AA111000 would be an easier fit due to the design of the lower rail and how it attaches to the bed rails.

  • Recommended Headache Rack For 2017 Ford F-350 With Rear Camera In Center Brake Light
  • I see the prediciment, so I reached out to B&W to see about that center louver. My contact said that the center brake light is completely exposed with the placement of this louver, so you shouldn't have any direct issues with your camera. The louver may restrict some of the viewing angle based on the angle of your camera's functionality, so I can't say that you won't have any issue, but I can confirm that you won't have a bar blocking the camera itself. I personally still recommend this...

Once installed the rack will be about flush with the front of the bed and the gap between the cab and the bed provides ample clearance between the rack and the rear window. I included a picture showing various measurements of the rack so you can determine how much of the rear window it will cover.

  • What Gauge Steel Are the B&W Truck Cab Protectors/Headache Racks Made From
  • I spoke with my contact and B&W and the Custom Headache Rack # BWPUCP7500WA is made of 10 gauge steel except for the flat plates that attach to the bed sides. Those are 7 gauge. This rack is not tested with toolboxes or tonneau covers so it is difficult to determine if it will work in conjunction with those items. It likely will not work if the tonneau cover blocks the lip in the inner part of the bed sides.
