  • When you install the B and W Headache Rack part # BWPUCP7522BA it uses a standard 4-way harness to tap into the trailer wiring circuits of your truck. To see exactly how this will wire to your truck taillight circuits fast forward to the 7:30 mark of the video I attached. It will walk you through the process.

  • Recommended Headache Rack and Intended Purpose for 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500
  • The Aries Switchback Headache rack like # AA1110109 is not a fit for your 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500. I've linked the page to the Aries options that are a confirmed fit for your truck. If you have a 6-1/2 foot bed, I recommend the Aries AdvantEdge Headache Rack # AA1110104 and for an 8 foot bed # AA1110105. I've attached a video to assist. Headache racks are not rated for the amount of weight or the impact speed as that can obviously vary. They are intended to be a protection from...

  • Wiring B&W Custom Headache Rack with LED Lights BWPUCP7500WA on 2017 Ford Superduty
  • The B&W Custom Headache Rack with LED Lights # BWPUCP7500WA is designed so that the two innermost lights will serve as taillights while the two on the outside work as brake/turn lights. These lights are fed by bonded 4-pole wiring like what is typically found in a 4-pole wiring harness. On the passenger side frame rail is a wiring connector you can use to access signals. Use of this connector will not cause the dash light messages.

  • Will a Tonneau Cover Work with DeeZee Headache Rack for a 2017 Ram 1500
  • DeeZee Custom Headache Rack # DZ95050RTB is not compatible with Tonneau covers because its brackets are L-shaped and will hang down into the bed. This will interfere with Tonneau cover mounting rails. Depending on how the Tonneau cover rails mount to the truck bed you might be able to use a headache rack that mounts to the tops of the bed sides such as Aries rack # AA111000. If you are not sure email me some pictures of the Tonneau cover open and closed and I can determine if a headache...

If your truck has stake pockets you will need to drill 1 hole on each bed rail; if it does not have stake pockets you will need to drill 2 holes on each bed rail. Mounting hardware is included. The base of the universal-fit MaxxTow rack is adjustable in width from 61-1/2- to 76-1/4-inches and it is fabricated from 2-inch square steel tubing. This...

  • Will Aries Switchback Headache Rack Work With BAKFlip G2 Tonneau Cover on 2017 Chevy Colorado?
  • Yes, you can install the Aries Switchback Headache Rack # AA1110109 with the BAKFlip G2 Tonneau Cover that fits your 2017 Chevy Colorado, # BAK26125 for a 6 foot bed or # BAK26126 for a 5 foot bed. The Switchback Headache Rack mounts in your truck's stake pockets, and as you can see in the accompanying photo of the BAKFlip G2 installed on a '16 Colorado, this tonneau cover mounts inside your truck's bed rails leaving the stake pockets free. The only potential concern is that the headache...

  • Recommended Headache Rack For 2017 Ford F-350 With Rear Camera In Center Brake Light
  • I see the prediciment, so I reached out to B&W to see about that center louver. My contact said that the center brake light is completely exposed with the placement of this louver, so you shouldn't have any direct issues with your camera. The louver may restrict some of the viewing angle based on the angle of your camera's functionality, so I can't say that you won't have any issue, but I can confirm that you won't have a bar blocking the camera itself. I personally still recommend this...

  • Can MaxxHaul Heavy Duty Headache Rack # MT70234 Fit with Tonneau Cover
  • As long as the bed cover (tonneau cover) mounts between the bed rails and does not go over them at all the MaxxHaul Heavy Duty Headache Rack # MT70234 will fit with it just fine. It attaches to the tops of the bed rails so it would not interfere at all with a tonneau that clamps to the inside.

  • Can Toolbox be Used with Headache Rack DZ95050RTB
  • Mounting a toolbox and headache rack like # DZ95050RTB is going to depend on several factors. If the toolbox does not overhang the bed sides (you would need to know the overall width of the toolbox versus the overall width of the bed minus about a 1/2 inch or so for the thickness of the metal of the headache rack). That will tell you if the two can work together or if you need to find a slightly more narrow toolbox. It looks like the standard width of crossover toolboxes for your truck...

For your 2016 (without Rambox feature) the similar headache rack that is confirmed to fit it is part # BWPUCP7522WA. This and other racks are shown on the linked page. • How Does the Westin HDX Headache Rack Install on a Truck
  • Hopefully I can help make the install instructions make a little more sense for you. First thing you need to do is assembly everything that you see in the picture I attached aside from what drills through the bed rails. Once assembled you would set the assembly on your bed rails where you want it to be (centered of course), and then mark and drill holes for the attachment of the rack. There's really not much more too it than that. I attached the instructions link that has more details...

  • Headache Rack Recommendation for Use with Toolbox That Sits on Bed Rails
  • The L-brackets that are used on the lower portion of the MaxxTow headache rack part # MT70234 would make it harder to install a crossover style of tool box that sits on top of the rails but I attached a picture of a guy who was able to do it for you to check out. The Aries rack part # AA111000 would be an easier fit due to the design of the lower rail and how it attaches to the bed rails.

  • Different Ways to Wire a Lighted Headache Rack
  • I have two options for you to install a headache rack with lights such as the B&W Custom Headache Rack part # BWPUCP7500BA on your 2008 Ford F-250. However, both of them will require splicing as they do not make an in-line connector specifically for this application. • What Gauge Steel Are the B&W Truck Cab Protectors/Headache Racks Made From
  • I spoke with my contact and B&W and the Custom Headache Rack # BWPUCP7500WA is made of 10 gauge steel except for the flat plates that attach to the bed sides. Those are 7 gauge. This rack is not tested with toolboxes or tonneau covers so it is difficult to determine if it will work in conjunction with those items. It likely will not work if the tonneau cover blocks the lip in the inner part of the bed sides.
