When a bearing fails or a hub wears out, you don’t want to waste time hunting for matching parts. This kit includes everything you need in one package—bearings, races, grease seal, grease cap, and lug nuts—so you can bolt it up and get rolling again fast. Each hub is rated at 1,250 lbs, giving the pair a 2,500-lb axle capacity. It’s a simple, complete solution for keeping your trailer moving.
These hubs are made to fit setups that use inner and outer bearing L44649, each with a 1.063" inner diameter. That means they match most 2,500-lb axles and what’s commonly called a 1" straight spindle. The standard fit makes it easy to confirm compatibility and install without guesswork.
The standard 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern works with popular wheel sizes from 8" up to 12". The 1/2" wheel studs are about 1-7/8" long—plenty of thread for secure lug nut seating. If you ever need to check your wheel pattern, just measure from the center of one bolt hole to halfway between the holes across from it—you’ll see why this layout is so widely used.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Today we're going to take a look at the trailer idler hub assembly for 2,500 pound axles, has the 5 on 4 and 1/2 inch bolt pattern, and this for a quantity of 2. Now these trailer hub assemblies are designed to fit idler axles, comes with everything that's shown here, comes with the idler hubs, the inner and outer bearings, the bearing races, which are pre-installed, the greased seals, the EZ Lube grease caps, and the lug nuts are all included. Now these hubs are sturdy steel construction. The specs on this, they're designed to fit 2 2,500 pound trailer axles. The bolt pattern on them is 5 on 4 and 1/2 inches. Wheel stud size is 1/2 inch, and the weight capacity is 1,250 pounds per hub, so when one of these is used on each side of your axle, it'll meet the 2,500 pound axle capacity.
Comes with everything shown here. Each hub will come with both an inner and outer bearing, a double-lip greased seal, an EZ Lube grease cap, and the lug nuts. I just want to go through the part numbers that are used on these. The inner and outer bearings, they use the same part number. It's L44649. The double-lip grease seals, they use is 10-60.
The EZ Lube grease cap is part number DC200L-ECRP. When I say EZ Lube cap, what that means is that center rubber plug, you just pop that out, and that gives you access on an EZ Lube axle. It'll have the grease zerk 00:01:21 fitting on the end of the axle, so this will give you access to be able to grease your hubs without having to remove the whole assembly. Then it comes with a total of 10 lug nuts, 5 for each one. The lug nuts are size 1/2 inch by 20.
That should do it for the review on the trailer idler hub assemblies for 2,500 pound axles with the 5 on 4 and 1/2 inch bolt pattern. This is for a quantity of 2.

Got tires and rim for my sled trailer they are blems you can't tell they look pretty good haven't but them on yet waiting on my hubs to come

2 complete, good quality hubs for a great price.Only had to order different grease seals to make these fit my coleman popup.
The axles came in and where packed well. Installed them with no problems. The only issue I had was the instruction sheet says to torque nut to 200ft lbs then back off 1 turn then 50ft lbs then back off 1/4 turn. But from watching the installation videos you have on line they just tighten so the hub spins tightly then back off and finger tighten. 200 ft lbs is a bit extreme on a greased nut and bolt!
The product is great, price is outstanding. The only problem we have is you won’t ship to Alaska. That’s right I live in Alaska, so every time I need your product, I have to have it shipped to a relitive and have them mail it to me. Will never understand why you guys have to charge an arm and leg to get your product up here. We are the United States really we are. That’s some to work on “Shiping to Alaska” cheep!!!
The item worked for the product I installed it on. I was not expecting to have to put the hub together. I was disappointed in this. It does work though
I purchased this idler hub assembly to replace the 27 year old hardware on my 1991 Coleman Fleetwood Sun Valley. I’ve never dealt with these types of products so I turned to etrailer since they literally have all the answers. After disassembling my hub I located my inner and outer bearings and called Greg at etrailer with the bearing numbers. He verified this was the right setup for me and that it would fit with my axle. The price was amazing for all of these items, especially when comparing to some of the $60 local quotes I got for bearings alone. I ordered this set and paid $18/19 shipping. I should have ordered a second set of grease seals for next time but I forgot. Anyways, the shipping (UPS) was delayed which was upsetting. When I got the package I was a little disappointed that it was basically just a bunch of parts tossed in a box. The bearings were 4 bearings in a sandwich bag, and all the other hardware was in a separate bag which somehow was torn and parts were scattered in the box. I guess when you buy this “set” someone from the warehouse just gathers the parts and puts them in a box? Also, there was no cotter pin or castle nut washer. I guess I assumed it would come with those but when I re-looked it up they’re not included. So I guess I should have ordered those at the same time, too. After a trip to the hardware store I cleaned everything up, packed my bearings and assembled the hubs onto my spindles. Everything went perfectly well and they fit and work great. I think there’s some room for packaging improvement but in the end it’s still a 5-star review.

Perfectly! No problems and everything works like new.
Returned for a refund. Could not properly adjust bearing preload. Solved my issue by buying the same hubs from another vendor. I believe the hubs were manufactured out-of-tolerance.
