Question:
I have a trinton lite snowmobile trailer with a 1 1/16 inch spindle/shaft diameter. What is the length/height of this hub? The seals are the correct size. What grease do you recommend for this hub assembly? Will this hub fit? THANKS!

I went out to the warehouse and found that the total length of the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # TA88545-2 is 4-1/4". If you have a straight spindle with a diameter of 1-1/16" then the 2 # L44649 bearings should fit just fine, just note that the grease seal has an inner diameter of 1.50" so you will need to make sure that corresponds to what you have. If all of that checks out then this hub will fit!
Always use the same grease that you used the last time that everything was greased. Different greases can actually counteract each other and will cause the grease to harden or become more like liquid so it is always best to use the same grease. If you are not sure what was last used then you can clean off the spindle so that no grease is left on it and then use the LubriMatic Wheel Bearing Grease # L11465. The LubriMatic Deluxe Bearing Packer # L70025 can be used to help speed up the process.
