Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: 8 on 6-1/2 means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: 5 on 4-1/2 means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Hubs are ok, were sent with cheap Chinese bearings, which I refuse to use on a trailer for a $50,000 boat. Had to order USA bearings from another supplier

As usua with your company, excellent merchandise at very good price! I will continue to make E-Trailer my go to source!l

These fit perfect

They allowed me
to bolt on some nice American racing rims with the Ford bolt pattern

The boat trailer looks so much better now

Thank you for a good quality product and fast shipping

Did not fit even though the item number matched. Not blaming the shipping company but frustrating just the same.

There are a lot of things you will need to check to see if this kit is correct for you. Please check the product description above for the bolt pattern, wheel stud dimensions, weight capacity, and the bearing, seals, and races.

The hubs and bearings were all mfg'd in China and seem to be just fine. They went together nicely and went onto the old groaty spindles with only a little persuasion. I think it might be worth saying that the "galvanized" finish on the hubs is really not traditional hot dipped galvanizing. . .perhaps some sort of electro plating. However, plain uncoated black iron hubs will last 20 years or more trailering into salt water, so it's certainly not an issue. The big takeaway here ought to be how great the customer service and delivery are, always, at etrailer. In this case it was Pamela who helped me work my way through what would be the right bearings and hubs. . .lovely lady who took good care of my confusion and uncertainty. And George let me know they'd shipped the morning after I ordered them at bedtime. Talk about quick! And they got to Seattle a day before promised. What's not to like!!?

I feel very comfortable having put these on my Jet Ski Trailer. Races already installed, greased everything up and it rolls like a champ. I did have to change the seals on them due to my trailer needing a smaller diameter seal.

Overall I’m pretty satisfied. Thanks George J. for upgrading the shipping. I ordered on Monday and got my parts on Thursday. I feel the bearings were the cheap ones from China and felt rough and sloppy. I did replace the ones you sent with some better quality bearings. All good now and my new hubs look great and are silky smooth. Maybe offer an option of bearing quality. That is the main reason I swapped out my hubs, my bearings were toast but the hubs were just old and ugly.

Hubs are well built with races already pressed into place. Lugnuts included. Galvanized to keep them rust free for years. One thing that could be better is package of bearings. They were in a bag with lugnuts, grease cap, and seal. Bearings might get damaged but overall great product.

work great easy install. one year still going great

Good product. Good price. Great service

I had to swap my order because the wheels I wanted were not available for a dew months so I changed to the steel painted wheels. GREAT job ETrailer.
These part I needed came very fast. It could have been the next day after I spoke with Hally C. to see what was on hand that would fit my application.
She hit it out of the park. She talked with George to change my order.

Will at etrailer was very helpful in determining what parts I needed on an old and not maintained jet ski trailer. The hub, bearings etc got here a day or two earlier than I thought I would get them. Installed them the following morning and everything fit perfectly.
I will use again and definitely would recommend.

Still working great.

Dust covers do not fit hub. They are to wide at the base to fit into the supplied hub. I tried sanding them down and also gently using a rubber mallet while rotating around the cover to try and get it in. Still do not fit, I'm a pretty experienced shop worker as well.

Kenny, Thank you for your review. The grease caps that come with this hub are designed to fit a 1.980 hub bore. Sometimes it can be a tight fit. If you tried tapping them in with a rubber mallet and it did not work, you may want to measure the diameter of the grease cap.
-- Etrailer Expert Heather A - 12/08/2017
Looks like the diameter is the right size. I think the spindles are just a little to long/deep for the cap.

I have bought many items from E Trailer over the years. Their selection is great. Their customer service is top notch. Price is good and the delivery is prompt. They will continue to be my go to for my truck and trailer needs. Thank you

etrailer is the best, I placed a order for two hub assemblies, and two wheels with tires. shortly after ordering, they quickly informed me that the hubs were, out of stock, they recommended a suitable replacement, they changed my order to reflect and everything show up just two days later. quality parts, everything fit and functioned correctly. was able to get snowmobile trailer all ready for winter much cheaper and quicker then I anticipated. thank you etrailer, would order form again and again. fast response, knowledgeable, respectful and great products!.

Bought a used homemade utility trailer and the hubs were in such a neglected shape that I gave up on them. I got the galvanized hub kits and it was a snap to get the trailer going. I had already spent about 3 hours (in a hot storage building) on the old ones. With the hub kits it only took me about 11/2 hours from start to finish. It was worth every cent for the new ones. The ordering process made it very easy to get the correct parts.
Donald H.

The fit, quality and finish on the hubs and bearings seems OK.

When tapping the first dust cover in with a rubber mallet it dented. The second was too large and I was not able to install it. The thickness of the covers is so thin I think I could crush them with my hands. I ended up using the old ones.

This does not help my expectation for the life of the bearings.

Good product. Used in high salinity bay (saltwater use) has held up to corrosion.
Unfortunately I had to purchase separate size seals due to my trailer's axle size is different than what came with the kit.

Perfect match to replace a set of rusted-out originals and everything I needed was there. Very pleased with the site with all of the information to help make the right selection. Definitely raising the bar for on line shopping for replacement parts!

Product was just what I ordered.Your sales person was very helpfull and polite, and patient. New hubs and bearings replaced my old ones with no trouble and my trailer was good to go once again . All was good and easy, Thanks

Quality part for a great price! Outstanding customer service & follow up! Rebecca is very knowledgeable. I was having trouble deciding which Hub Assembly I needed for my trailer due to a VIN issue, but Rebecca walked me through a list of questions and suggested a particular one and it fits perfectly. I will definitely be doing more business with etrailer.

I can't say enough on how happy I am with the new hubs and the service I received from Adam and the nice people at I'll never shop anywhere else for my trailer needs.
Dave G

The products that I ordered arrived on time and were packaged very well. Everything was as described and fit well. I am very happy with the product and service that was provided. If I need more parts or items etrailer will by on my list to check out.

Excellent replacement for my old bolt-style hubs, updated to wheel studs. I love buying parts from, they make it so easy to get the right parts the first time.

Luckily, FLOE International is still around. I was able to find that your 10 foot tilt single axle snowmobile trailer used an L44649 inner and outer wheel bearing. Your snowmobile trailer was equipped from the factory with idler hubs that had a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. Due to its being exposed to harsh winter conditions and possibly road salt, going with a galvanized hub would be recommended versus a painted hub like the # 34822545BX you'd looked at.
