Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: 8 on 6-1/2 means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: 5 on 4-1/2 means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Dexter galvanized pre-greased trailer idler hub assembly. Now, this sturdy cast iron rust-resistant hub assembly is going to fit your 2,700-pound trailer axle. And of course, this galvanized finish is going to give you excellent corrosion resistance, so this is gonna be great to be used on a boat trailer or a snowmobile trailer or something like that. Now, this does come pre-greased, and let me just pull this cap off here real quick just to give you a view.
So, the cap will come installed on this just to protect everything. So it comes pre-greased, the bearings and the races are already installed as well, along with the seal that you see here. So everything's assembled, it's gonna be ready to install right out of the box. So, no need to pack the bearings, so that's gonna mean less time for you to install this, less mess, and you're gonna be able to get on your way. So, the bolt pattern is 5 on 4 1/2 inches, and the wheel stud, wheel bolt dimensions is gonna be 1/2 an inch by 20.
And individually, the weight capacity is 1,350 pounds. But again, if you pair it with another assembly, that's where you get your 2,700-pound trailer axle weight capacity. And then, the bearings that are installed, they're both. Inner and outer bearings are the same L44649 as you see there on your screen. And then, I have the number for the grease seal as well there for you on your screen.
And this includes everything that you see here. Again, the bearings and the races and the seals already installed in the grease. You're also going to get a grease cap, cotter pin, and the wheel bolt, the lug nuts, rather, as you can see there. All of this that you see here will be included. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today.
I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
