Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this replacement lead leg. This is going to replace the lead leg on your 5th wheel RV's Venture motorized landing gear. And the lead leg has the gear box and the motor mounted on it and then gives the direction for the follow leg for that landing gear to help get everything stabilized and leveled for you. So, this is exactly like the one that you are needing to replace.
And it is directly from Lippert so you can trust that it's going to fit right in place of your original, so no worries about compatibility issues or anything like that. This is going to mount to the outside of your RV's frame rail. And let me give you some overall measurements just so you can be confident that this is going to work for you. So, measuring our outer tube, looking at the what would be the height when this is in the upright position, we are sitting right at 29 1/2 inches tall on that outer tube. And then looking at the width of the outer tube, as you can see, we are sitting right at 2 1/2 inches.
And then the inner tube, we are sitting right at 2 1/4 inches. And then on the drop leg, on the width there, we are sitting right at, get that pin out of the way there. There we go. We are sitting right at two inches. And as I mentioned, this snap pin is included with this.
Now, the foot pad is not included, just so you are aware of that. So, you can use the one that you already have or if you do need one, we do sell the foot pad separately here at etrailer.com. Now, we do have two weld stops, which are going to be pretty standard size. So again, bringing out my tape measure here, measuring from the very top of our top weld to the very bottom of the bottom weld, that's going to give us a measurement of 17 1/2 inches. And then measuring from the bottom of our top weld to the top of our bottom weld, that's going to give us a measurement of 15 1/2 inches.

Works great
The replacement leg arrived on time and in perfect condition. It was as listed on etrailer.com website. I had to grind down one of the mounting spots because my mount on my RV was installed slightly less than the specific dimensions. It was an easy fix and was easy to reinstall.
I also put new gears in the follow leg and they were easy to do.
I have landing gear functionality again.
