A high deck can make hitching or loading a hassle. This axle’s 4" drop design brings the trailer frame closer to the ground, creating a lower deck height that makes it easier to load, unload, and stabilize your setup. The underslung spring seats are welded to the underside of the 2-3/8" diameter beam so the leaf springs (sold separately) mount beneath it, giving you that lower ride without sacrificing strength.
Towing feels best when the trailer tracks straight and steady. The round axle beam is built with a slight bend to create the correct camber angle, so each tire maintains even road-to-tread contact across its width. This keeps the trailer stable and predictable on the road, with steady, in-line acceleration and even tire wear over time.
Getting an axle ready shouldn’t mean hours of packing bearings. This one comes complete with pre-greased idler hubs already fitted with bearings, races, seals, and lug nuts. The cast-iron hubs are tough and durable, while the built-in grease zerk on the Easy Grease spindles makes future servicing simple. It’s set up for 13" to 15" wheels with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and 1/2"-diameter wheel studs.

My son converted the small trailer that this axle was used on from carrying a small quad to an overland camping trailer. Its been all over Texas and all the way up to Montana and back. No issues. Still highly recommended.

Not bad at all, James! I hope when I'm 75 I'll be able to fix my trailer and cruse down the road hauling some jet skis too! When's the next time you get to take them out on the water?

Its been working great! Everything is holding up very well. Getting ready for another summer kayak trip with the trailer and 8 kayaks and lots of gear.
