Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Fully welded vehicle trailer hitch is strong and durable. Draw-Tite's Tested Tough guarantee ensures that this hitch exceeds industry standards. The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection. The Hidden Hitch arrived undamaged. It is well made, sturdy, with a nice finish. Installation took me about an hour on my 2013 RDX. I ended up removing the plastic pins that hold the fascia to the two brackets. It was the only way I could line up the holes. After I did the installation, I watched the Draw-Tite video, which is longer and more detailed than the Hidden video, and includes instructions to remove the pins before installation, and shows how the bend the brackets after installation. I wish I would have watched the Draw-Tite video before I did the installation, it would have saved time. Also raising the vehicle would have made the installation easier. But I am very pleased with etrailer.com and the final install. 84464
Its hard to add to the reviews already posted but I'll add some thoughts. The first is that etrailer has been great to work with. Ordering was easy and the item arrived quickly, well packed, and with everything I needed to install the hitch. I even got a follow-up email from them asking for my feedback and whether I had any questions Now, the hitch is built like a tank. Its well made and is solid. Installation instructions in the package were clear and easy to follow, but watching the video online will make the process a breeze in your head. Its not hard at all. That said... this is best done as a two person job because the item is heavy and a bit awkward to move around. You are best backing the vehicle up onto a pair of ramps to give you the room underneath to work. Having a good floor jack is a help for positioning and maintaining the position of the hitch while threading the bolts needed for mounting. I put a towel on the cradle of the jack to help prevent scratching up the new hitch. The threaded holes in the body members that etrailer tells you to clean out with a brush can be kinda crummy if the vehicle isn't new. A brush will help, but having a tap that matches the threads would make the job the easiest. I didn't have one. The fine threads can make it hard to start the bolt, but once you do you can run it in a bit with ratchet wrench to make it easier to catch when you mount up the hitch. The bolt is coated so it fits very tightly. The bolt and handle nut were easy to install. I did the whole job by myself in about an hour and change. Make sure you have the right tools, including a good torque wrench and you should be fine. You'll need a 19mm socket and a longish extension to make life easier and to get the bolts tightened to spec. The hitch looks great and we are ready to carry/tow whatever we need! 562936
I ordered the DrawTite hitch for my 2017 Acura RDX and a Thule 2-bike carrier, and was notified that my order had shipped the same day I placed it. The hitch arrived on the delivery date promised. Like many others have mentioned in their reviews, the hitch had broken free from its flimsy internal supports and was sticking out the end of the box. However, hitches are made to live underneath cars for years, and nothing was damaged, just some minor paint scuffs. The carrier arrived a day later in good shape. I installed the hitch in less than an hour by myself--- and I'm 71, so this is proof that you don't have to be a young, fit guy to do the job, you can be an old, fit guy. My method might be considered unorthodox; my only helpers were a half inflated vinyl exercise ball and two of those flexible, rubber coated twisty tie things you can buy at [big box stores]. I threaded one tie through the unthreaded holes in each of the frame rails, with the ends hanging down, then placed the exercise ball in the middle where the center point of the hitch would be. I positioned (balanced) the hitch on the ball, then tilted one end to get it past the bumper fascia lip and the exhaust resonator. Once in place about an inch below the threaded bolt hole, I secured it in place with the twist tie and did the same at the other side. Then, I could just push the hitch up close enough to the bolt hole to get the bolt started on both sides. With the hitch securely hanging, I untied and removed the twist ties, installed the bolts in the unthreaded holes using the nuts-on-a-stick, and ran all the bolts down snug. From that point, all I had to do was torque everything to spec, put my tools away and treat myself to a cold beer as I gazed upon my finished project... 454590
Rated good since etrailer did a great job expediting my order and getting it to me quickly. And, the hitch itself is heavy duty and good quality. However, installation was very difficult. This hitch must not have been tested on a 2013 Acura RDX. To say that the rear fascia may need to be slightly pulled down is a gross understatement (at least for the 2013 RDX). The holes would not line up by about 3/4 of an inch. The hitch was pushed directly against the fascia support brackets, which do not give easily. It took one person pulling very hard on the fascia while another person struggled to push the hitch in place so the holes would line up. Then, while struggling to do that, you have to hold the weight of the hitch and thread the screws. We eventually enlisted a third person to help. Would not rate this installation difficulty a 3. I eventually succeeded in installing the hitch, but a better design would have made it much easier. 49662
Hitch installed with exact fit, see photo "hitch.jpg". Instructions said the car's rear facia would slightly tuck over the top, but this tuck is so small you can't see it in regular viewing. I wanted the hitch to carry my really great rear mount bike rack. See photo "Bike Rack.jpg" Mission Accomplished! The mouth of the receiver is set back from the face of the car's bumper by about an inch. I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, the hitch is out-of-the way so you won't bruise your shins on it when its not being used. On the other hand, it is harder to reach the pin hole, and the load might end up very close to the car. With my bike rack, it was a close question, but it did clear the tailgate by a tiny margin, so probably no extension is needed. An extra inch of length on the receiver would be nice. 504967
Etrailer website information and videos very helpful in researching appropriate product for my need. Telephone help (Brenden C) very helpful clarifying final questions to help ensure I was getting all required accessory hardware. Product delivered as promised. Was able to install it as planned. Very great overall experience. Would highly recommmend Etrailer to others. 504978
ACURA RDX 2014 AWD I love this website. They answered all my questions with all the details. Hitch it's really high quality and perfectly fit with the car. Set up pretty straight forward nothing complicated. It took me and my 14 year old daugther about 45 minutes to install it. Looks great on the car. It's doesn't look too extractive and work great with THULE rack. 135646
Quick delivery. Easy install. Price is right. I trimmed the lower bumper cover just a little to give it a more integrated look. 445475
Arrived undamaged. Instructions were easy to follow and clear. It fit perfectly; where I anticipated would be a very difficult installation. I certainly will order from etrailer.com again. 938783
Rocket fast shipping! 938142
Hitch arrived in 2 days - awesome shipping time! It is a quality product with very good instructions. However, it did pop through the box during shipping and some paint was scraped off to bare metal and there was another spot of bare metal not due to shipping. Not a big deal since I had black touch up paint handy, but is the reason for 4/5 otherwise a 5/5. Great value as well! I'm just using it to hold a bike rack so it should work just fine. I would definitely purchase from etrailer.com again. A few tips on install. First, if you're doing this solo use a floor jack to hold it in place while mounting it. I installed it on a 2011 Acura RDX and the factory mounting holes with the threads were all rusted from years of exposure. I needed to clean and re-tap the threads, which turned a 30 minute job into a 3 hour job. Of course, this has nothing to do with the product, which as I stated above is excellent. Also, pop out the two plastic fasteners that hold the bumper molding in place, which makes it easier to fit the hitch in place, and re-attach to complete the install. 935305
Installed the hitch in about 2 hours. Had a helper only to lift it into place then used my floor jack to hold the weight & secure it while I threaded the 4 bolts. First rear bolt went into place easily. For the second rear bolt, at first the bolt hole seemed a little off center, but after pushing the frame snugly in place, it aligned enough to use a drift-pin in the front hole to force the hitch frame perfectly into place to thread the second rear bolt. I highly recommend the product - only the 2" receiver is visible and the frame is neatly hidden from view; unlike some I have seen. 921713

Hitch arrived very quickly. It was well secured in a sturdy box with all of the needed parts included. The instructions were easy to follow and I was able to install the hitch with my son in about 30 minutes. We were able to install without any type of lift. Besides the etrailer video on the hitch I would suggest you also watch the draw tite Utube installation video as it shows a couple of extra hints that came in very helpful. One thing to be sure to do is pop the two plastic fasters that hold the back rear shroud to its support...it makes installation so much easier. All in all the product looks like it is very well built, is easy to install and looks great! I would easily recommend. 917891
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent! Hitch arrived on date promised and was a synch to install. Install video was helpful! Fits perfect on our 2017 RDX. Highly recommend Etrailer! 912106
Took about 40 minutes to install on a 2015 Acura RDX. By far most of the time was due to the contortions I had to do based on the vehicle frame, not any issues with hitch. 909798
my only complaint is fitment is not very good on the driver side, the hitch pushes the bumper cover out by 1/4", so in order to get the hitch in, I had to remove a push-in retainer for the bumper cover and cannot reinstall it because of the hitch placement. Not noticeable unless under the car, and not a big enough deal to return it. Otherwise I can't believe how easy this is to install. very good directions, and well thought through with how to install. looks great and very flush and up tight against bumper cover. 904890
Easy to research exact hitch required; easy to order; delivered as promised 902161
Very Easy to install thanks to your You tube video, the product was A+ and arrival time was extraordinary. I will definitely be ordering from you again!!!! Too bad you don't have a 10 start rating!!! 901369

Solid piece of work, super east to mount! Very happy with my purchase. 872169
Heavy duty hitch. Need 2 strong guys to install. My wife helped me, it was a struggle!!!! 870308
The trailer hitch was very well built and I was able to install it by myself just by propping a couple of books under the hitch while I was tightening the bolts. 863303
I was very nervous that I forgot to order the handle nuts to install the hitch but when it was delivered all the nuts and bolts were included. Nice surprise. Have not installed yet but video instructions online are great and it looks super easy. We will install this weekend. Product quality is great and the price was great. Happy with the product and service was great. 862215
eTrailer video of installed hitch notes that the foot operated rear lift gate on a Murano will still work - it doesn't. In contacting them, they said they are correcting the video. While they offered to accept a return for a full refund, the hitch is already installed. Oh well!! 857082
