Ability to raise and lower the rack is very useful. It allows me to keep the boats as low to the ground/truck cab as possible for easier loading/unloading. I can raise the rear rack and load a motorcycle without removing it. I have removed the endcaps and run straps through the crossbars and was able to load two 17 aluminum canoes at once. Note, the endcaps are a bit delicate and extremely expensive to replace!
I recently made a 4 hour trip home after picking up a new kayak while using the following equipment for the first time: Thule Xsporter Pro Truck Bed Ladder Rack, Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak Carrier w/Tie-Downs - J-Style, Thule Watersports Adapter for Aeroblade/Aeroblade Edge Bars and Thule Bow/Stern Tie-Downs. I'm impressed with the performance of all of those components.
Did some trimming on the truck bed rail to get max distance between brackets. I use the raise lower and removal function often and it’s ease to do. Only con is that I haven’t found a tonneau cover that works with it due to the bracket wrapping the bedrail.
Thule bars are well made and install easily. Look great on my 2022 Tacoma...just ensure you get the additional install kit for the Toyota track system. AT the time of purchase no was sure if the TracOne adapter kit would work...it does. On the negative side....The cross bars were dimpled from shipping as you can see in the photo. Good news is that etrailer customer service was able to arrange two new bars to be sent as replacement. Excellent customer service!
Love these because of the adjustability. I can carry my tent lower than the roofline, or use to carry my canoe above it. The adjustable stops make it easy to change depending on whatever load you're running, ladders, plywood, a boat, etc! The black powder coat happens to match my truck perfectly.
The Thule Xsporter Pro fits perfectly on my 2006 Tundra. Easy to install. Very study. I also want to mention the outstanding customer service provided by Samantha H at etrailer. She answered all my questions during the ordering process and kept me informed when product shipped. I received the product two days earlier than initially quoted.
Probably the best rack I have ever purchased, I was looking for a ladder rack that could adjust easily to fit in a parking garage. Directions were very clear and easy to follow. All required tools are supplied. This rack can be removed fast if needed, and has lockable fittings to keep others from easily removing it.
The box it came in was a little tore up, but inspected the pieces they were all there and in good condition. Excellent product, a little trick to install because I have a plastic drop in bed liner. Price was good, shipping was super fast, staff was excellent in answering all my questions! Thanks again etrailer!
It was a HOT and sweaty install, but then I live in Kihei, HI where surfboards need a ride to the
beach! ALL the parts and pieces were there, very helpful. Measured, tested; made sure my truck would fit in the garage. After looking at dozens of options I was so glad I bought this.

Fantastic Product - this is my second time purchasing this system. Nothing wrong with first set except they were silver and I wanted black on my all black truck. I use this for transporting Kayaks and fishing rods using the additional ski racks. I have used this product for over 10 years and it been on multiple trucks from Nissan Titan to Chevrolet 2500 and 3500 as well as F-350 ford. Cant say enough, Thule is the only brand I would consider.
This is a fantastic product! Looks great, adjust easily. With the toolbox and ladder racks down it really gives the truck a unique look. Less than 5 minutes they can be adjusted up to carry whatever is needed. I attach my hullavator kayak cradle to it in another couple of minutes and am ready to easily load kayak. I couldn’t be more satisfied.

Installed my Thule Xsporter Pro racks yesterday. Very easy to install. The instructions were easy to follow. Everyone at retailer.com were terrific. They kept me informed from when my racks shipped until they arrived. Ordered the Racks on a Wednesday and received them on Saturday. Free shipping and I was able to track my order all the way. I would definitely order from etrailer.com again. Thanks for the great service.
Rack failed within the first month. Locking mech locks up, don't not lock and unscrews itself during travel. Locks to truck fell off. Protective caps broke after several adjustments to hold ladders up. Dont waste your money. I thought Thule was high quality and was wrong.
it is junk. The load stop tensioners seized up. Two of the end end caps broke off which allowed one of the load stops to then falls off in transit. Watched it bounce down the parkway. I have been using Thule for years. Always happy. I don't know what happened to the quality. It is no longer in their product.
I have loaded this with lumber and other construction equip. Has not failed. Some times reinstalling the racks is a little frustrating but patience pays off. Once I entered a parking garage and forgot they were up because they are adjustable, got out of truck and lowered them which only takes a minute and was still able to park . Like these .
Exactly what I needed for my goodboy kayak V racks. Love the adjustability which helps level out the v racks front to back. Solid feel. Black looks great on my new canyon.
May be a little tricky to mount on the bedrails, depending on your truck. But simple, clean look! Sturdy and well built! The height adjustment feature works well. Very nice addition to the truck!

The rack fit well on my 2010 Ford ranger and was the perfect answer to transporting the long poles for large canvas tents for my living history group. It would be perfect for ladders as well.
