Great rack! Only thing I can say bad is that cat washes won't let you take it through. Guess it has to do with the base breaking and tearing up equipment and people. I just wash my truck myself so no worries!
A great looking product with decent load capacity, but here’s a few issues for me:
1. The instructions are terrible. No words, just pictograms (like IKEA furniture). I had lots of head scratching as there’s extra parts for multiple fits.
2. The stanthions are very difficult to slide up and down. The knobs falls off before the mechanism even loosens.
3. The stanthions do not lower as far as I hoped. The profile of the Tacoma bed prevents them from lowering all the way to the bed floor. Wish I knew this before I purchased. This is a big deal.
4. Tightening the bolts that retain the brackets to the bed rails is finicky at best, and they have loosened over time requiring retightening.
This rack is expensive and has to be super popular with Taco owners so one would think they would have ironed these issues out in advance.
It’s heavier duty then I thought it was which is awesome and there customer service truly is spectacular. [thumbs up]
