Perfect for winches, spare tire carriers and more.Front Trailer Hitch for a 2014 Toyota 4Runner was delivered quickly and in perfect shape. Installation was straight forward, however I spent more time trying to remove the super tight 4 bolts from the frame in order to install the hitch. There's not a lot of room once the hitch is installed to tighten the the upper bolts. I had to use a smaller ratchet in the tight space. I also used anti-seize on all the bolts prior to re-installing them. This hitch will be used for a fishing cooler rack and rod holder while on the beach. So Far I'm very satisfied with this product. Draw-Tight makes a good product.
Stephen K - 04/30/2018Super easy install. 25 min. Use a Jack and angle it in like the first picture. Then when you get the 2 side bolts almost snug, use the Jack to move it up into place. Then just put the 4 stock bolts back in and torque to specs. I will use this front hitch for a bike rack, winch and fishing cooler in the summer Thanks Etrailer, it went in as easy as you said it would. super fast shipping also!
Shawn N - 03/25/2018Very Happy with the item. Other than the issues removing rusted bolts from vehicle, installation was fairly straightforward. Previous reviews had alerted us to the bolt issue, so we used pb blaster on them for a few days before installing.
Dot - 07/27/2021I am Verry happy whit my front mount trailer hitch receiver
Completed the installation in about 30 minutes. Clear instructions. Was not difficult to do by myself. I first removed the 4 small bolts. Placed the hitch on two jack stands which brought it within an inch of the final location. Placed the two large bolts provided by etrailer in the back of the mount. Then used a sissor jack to slightly raise the front of the hitch where I could then insert and tighten the four small bolts. Only complaint was that a significant amount of the paint came off during installation. Not sure why, did not use a hammer or anything that would have stricken the mount.
Very easy to install. I used a jack for support and had to use a heavy hammer to nestle it into place. It nicely hugs the bottom of the bumper with no gap unlike the Curt which sits VERY LOW on the non Limited edition 4Runners. Thanks for the quick delivery.
Brad.A - 06/29/2018I received the receiver hitch for my 4Runner and have now installed it. The hitch fit perfectly and was not difficult to install. I have many ideas on how to use it. (towing, winching, bumper step etc.)
The hitch was easy to install and it works great. I've used it in a few different ways and I'm sure I'll still find a few more.
The website was easy to use to make sure I got the right hitch. It came on time, undamaged, and truly was easy to install. Took 2 bolts off each side added the one sent with the hitch and put the other bolts back on. Great directions with photos. I'll be using several accessories on the front but my favorite is the rod holders while I'm fishing on the beach.

This is s hood sturdy hitch. What I particularly like is that it is tight up against the car which maximizes the ground clearance on my 2016 4Runner. The down side is that it interferes with removal of the lower air deflector. However, the deflector could be eliminated or temporarily flexed out of the way for removal of the oil filter.
NICE HITCH! Having said that, a few hints. I just installed this on my 2020 Toyota 4RUNNER PRO. 1. Remove the bottom cover pad on both sides where the side bolts supplied goes in. 2. When you remove the front two bolts insert the bottom one from the rear and leave it just inside the flush face on both sides. When you lift the hitch up to install thread the bottom bolt out and let the hitch rest on the stud! Install the top bolt loose, remove the reverse inserted bolt and install correctly. 3. Once the 2 front and newly supplied side bolts are installed loosely tighten all 4 front bolts then the new side bolts. 4. I tried inserting pictures but site would not allow it.
The product arrived on time as promised, within 3 business days. The installation instructions were clear. Installation was simple but not exactly easy. It took about an hour and a half to install. I have 2 tips which might help the next customer 1) I used two scissor jacks to hold the hitch in place while tightening the bolts. The scissor jacks held the hitch perfectly and safely. 2) I didn't have a stubby ratchet which would have helped speed the process of removing and installing the bolts. I am very happy with the hitch and it sits at the right height so that it does not affect the clearance on my 4Runner.

I tow a small camper and this hitch receiver is great for using my bike rack on the front while towing. I have also used it for installing a hook to pull with and installing a winch.
Excellent quality and perfect fit. Solo installation took about 30 minutes after I let the frame bolts soak in WD-40 spray for 90 minutes. Took ten minutes just to find the torque wrench! LOL Florida climate so no rust issues. Front hitch will be used in conjunction with dual bike carrier. The 4Runner pulls an RV, carries two kayaks on the roof rack, and now we can take the mountain/hybrid bikes.
I ordered a front receiver hitch for my 2018 4Runner. It showed up 2-3 days before I expected. Excellent build quality and paint. I got it at 3 PM and had it installed by 4. It would’ve been quicker if I would’ve had one more hand to hold it in place to bolt it but I just used a car jack. It fit perfectly. Excited to use it with my motorcycle carrier

If you have a difficult loading ramp this front hitch will be a godsend, works perfectly, every SUV should have one.
