Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this WeatherTech Custom Fit Hood Protector. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2023 and newer Honda CRV vehicles. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website and use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this'll work for your application.
Now, this is a custom hood protector. It's going to give you a low profile aerodynamic protection from any bugs or debris on the hood of your Honda CRV. It does feature a nice stylish skin type fit, and it is a very easy no drill installation. Basically, it'll install by, if you see when I flip it over, the red tape there. That adhesive tape will attach to your vehicle.
So basically, you'll receive these alcohol pads and a surface prep pad to get the surface of your hood ready to mount this, so it's going to allow the tape on the back of the protector to stick very well without any issues. Also, what's nice, let me zoom in on the package that the pads come in. You can see there is a QR code. The instructions can be found by just scanning that QR code on the package. Now, this part is made in the USA of a durable, flexible acrylic, so it's going to withstand the wear and tear from everyday use.
Now, this is a smoke color, but it is transparent. It's a very dark tinted smoke color on it. So you can see if I zoom in, you might be able to see if I put my hand behind it, you see my hand move, but it is very dark. But that should do it for our look at the WeatherTech Custom Fit Hood Protector.

I wish it was more of a ridged product, that did not Glue to the hood of the vehicle, I realized this when I bought it but, I did think it would be more of a hard molded product and hopefully it will last for many years to come.
Fits perfectly but I wish it was long enough to the fender tops also.
Only issue? It ain't worth the price after all is said and done
I really like the hood protector a lot..it fit great and was easy to install, as long as you follow the directions.. looks really good I think ! UPS could have taken better care or the shipping process. The box it came in was beat up and had at least a foot long tear in it. I was shocked that the guard was not damaged.. overall I am very happy with the product.. would order again..

Packaging is poor for that product. It needs something to keep the handlers from folding it up.
