Reese's outboard installation kit for your fifth-wheel trailer hitch was designed with safety and convenience in mind. Just like the original custom mounting brackets, these brackets install using existing holes in the truck frame, minimizing installation time. The biggest difference with this outboard kit is the extended-length rails. These above-bed rails are 5 inches longer than standard, universal fifth-wheel rails so that they will match up with the mounting points on the brackets, which sit below the bed and outside of your truck's frame. The result is a much simpler installation process, wherein most underbed components can be easily avoided. Because you are working outside the frame rails, you also have easier access with your tools and more room to work, making the whole process less of a pain.
The base rails included in this installation kit feature a standard 10-bolt design. Each of these rails attaches to the underbed brackets with two carriage bolts at both ends. A single bolt is used in the center of each rail to further secure it in your truck bed. The result is a set of base rails that remains firmly in place thanks to 10 points of contact.
This entire installation kit is built to be SAE J2638 compliant and has been extensively tested per specified accelerated-life-cycle criteria for fifth-wheel trailer hitches. The requirements for testing are based on the European-style test of 900,000 cycles, making this testing process among the most thorough and intensive in the industry.

I've uploaded a few pictures of my recently installed 5th wheel rails. This is truly a high quality product. I would recommend it to anyone. It was a lot of fun drilling holes in a 2 week old truck. I fallowed the instruction and everything fit perfectly.
The quick install hitch brackets took me about 4 hours to install and everything went in easy. It threw me off having to isolate the steel rails and brackets from the aluminum truck body with clear tape.

Priduct is awesome but directions are so, so. Because of the aluminum bed “stickers” are supplied to place between steel and aluminum. But illustrations are difficult to understand. Love etrailers videos but they need to do one on a F250 aluminum bed. Many more parts and spacers compared to steel bed.
Great product, easy installation but you have to be organized and get all your tools ready before hand. Instructions were clear, due to transport company hardware was missing but etrailer replaced the entire hardware kit immediately.

I have towed my 2022 Cougar 316rls loaded about 10k miles over the hills and far away. Rock solid mechanically. I have done the re torque and it didn't budge. I have this hooked to the B and W patriot slider. Awsome stuff!
To do the job right the first time, this is a great product at a great price.
Product fit as expected and installation was fairly painless. There were a few tight spots to work around, but I installed the kit on my own in a few hours.

all the products were great. I highly recommend watching the installment video that e trailer provides, especially for the Reese rail kit. Bargman wiring harness was high quality all the way through. The Reese Rail kit was super heavy duty compared to the one that the RV dealer installed on my last truck. Neither product was the CHEAPEST but in this case it was money well spent. Special thanks to CS Rep Laser as he answered all my questions.
great product very heavy duty compared to other install kits i have looked at i purchased this and a curt a20 fifth wheel both packages got destroyed in shipping fifth wheel and install kit survived but packaging could be better
Seems to be heavy duty and will work out fine. Installation videos are a big help. Removing the spare tire provided much needed room however the drivers side front frame bolt was a major hassle because a charcoal canister makes visibility difficult. Product is high quality in my opinion.

No issues after 1 year of use
Great products I have used them before and find them functional and more than adequate for the job. Easy to install and the directions are more than adequate. Keep up the great products for RVer's.

It’s been great no problems, was short a few of the plastic isolator strips but I made it work, but the product was fab.
Very nice hitch took about 2 hours for installation directions are a little generic but after looking it over not terrible to understand .
Like always, etrailer comes through. Friendly and helpful sales people and lightening fast shipping. I always find Reese products to be of very good quality and this rail system is no exception. Clear instructions and quality hardware.

Great product. Easy installation. I installed all by self, took about 2hrs. Only real problem i had was getting the bolt in near the def tank.
Very prompt delivery ,boxed very good. Installers had a few issue putting the bolts bye the gas tank area. Once it was done it is a very strong institution.
It fit my truck really well I had a trailer company installed it.If I had a place to work. I would have done it myself it was pretty easy to do.
