Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

This worked exactly as described, instructions easy to follow. A great addition for my car!

Last year I purchased a Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Round Tube Receiver Hitch for my 2013 Infiniti JX35. No cutting just 4 bolts and 10 minutes. Its even easer if you have a lift available. The really good news is I just purchased a 2017 Q60 and I was able to remove and install on the Q60. Best purchase ever!!!!!!!!!

by:

Ordered a Hidden Hitch brand tow hitch for my 2015 Nissan Pathfinder after watching the online installation video. I got the lowest price around plus free shipping. I was kept informed of my order status via email, which was great. The item arrived quicker than I expected, especially considering it was free shipping. Even better was that they took the time to properly wrap and box the item, while most other sellers do not. I installed it myself after borrowing a torque wrench from a friend. It took only about 15 minutes. (I did take the Hidden Hitch decal off for a more subtle look). All in all I'm very satisfied and would do business with etrailer.com again.

High quality hitch receiver and easy to install. Did not have to trim anything on my Pathfinder. Fast shipping and excellent customer service (had an issue with the weld nuts on my vehicle being rusted, and customer service was very helpful).

Hitch is still working great, no issues or problems. Highly recommend.

Receiver Fit perfectly, it required removal of the OEM tow eye bracket, not needed after receiver is installed. Pushes up slightly on the bottom of rear plastic bumper. Bought 7 Pin Plug, harness and plug mounting bracket. Mounting bracket didn't match the DrawTite hitch mounting and required additional hole to be drilled compromising the sealed painted surface.

Additional mod was to mount rear gate sensor underneath the hitch receiver with wire ties and nylon spacer blocks. Sensor doesnt work when in contact with metal.

This was purchased for our 2020 Nissan Pathfinder. The fit and alignment of this receiver was perfect for the vehicle. All of the hardware was provided and everything was of excellent quality. The installation was quick and easy and the instructions were well written and easy to understand. Having an extra pair of hands to help get things started and to line up the receiver will make it that much easier. Took less than an hour total to install. There was a few spots on the lower bumper that needed trimming which was accomplished with the use of a Dremel tool and some masking tape. Just take your time and mark the areas. This receiver is only used for a bike rack so there was no wiring involved or needed. We are extremely pleased with this and would definitely recommend to anyone needing a receiver.

by:

Hitch is ok- does the job. Biggest complaint is that the powder coating on the receiver is flaking away leaving RUST that is low on the outside, (not a good look!)as well as traveling inside the opening. The only thing I even use the hitch for is a hitch hauler which has been hooked up maybe 15 days total over the year. So... ok hitch- looked good for a minute.

To keep your hitch looking great and to help prevent the spread of rust, we recommend using a rust-inhibiting black spray paint to touch up any rust spots starting to develop on your trailer hitch. I have also linked a help article on rust prevention for your convenience.

2017 Nissan Pathfinder

When it is installed, it looks like it was meant to be there. It took three of us to get it in place and installed. Lining the mounting plates with the weld nuts was a little tricky. Once we finally got all six bolts started, the install was easier from there.

The install video on etrailer.com's website was a nice guide. It gave me confidence in believing I didn't have to hire out the install.

I have used a few different trailers over the past year and felt confident hauling each one. I have had no issues with this receiver. I am confident it will last for years to come.

Easy install, fits well! I did trim the charcoal canister per instructions, and it was necessary. One person can install the hitch, it went in easier than I thought. Fits extremely well!

2013 Infiniti JX35

Very easy to do business with etrailer. Receiver hitch was delivered earlier than expected. Installed easily after cleaning the threads on my vehicle. They were rusted and corroded from being exposed to road elements. I purchased the receiver to use with a bike rack and it holds the rack very securely. It is low profile enough that it doesn't stick out or reduce clearance. Also, did not have to worry about making any modifications to accommodate the receiver.

2015 Infiniti QX60

I ordered this for my 2015 QX60. Shipping took just over a week and everything arrived in good shape. I have to say, this is an awesome hitch with no drilling or bumper modification at all. My only comment would be is that the bolts used to mount the bumper are 19mm not 18mm as indicated in the instructions. The bolts I needed to remove the existing tie-down brackets were 18mm so maybe that's the confusion. I called the manufacturer and they confirmed the 19mm bolts.

I propped up one side to make it easier for a one-man install and tighted things down with a traditional ratchet before breaking out the torque wrench. Kudos to etrailer.com for providing a great DIY hitch at a great price. I'm already for tailgate season now!

by:
2017 Nissan Pathfinder

The hitch was well packaged and only took a little longer than advertised for installation. The installation was straightforward. The instructions were on target and made the job go well. The hitch looks good as it sits tight to the bumper.

by:
2014 Ford Edge

Received the hitch on time and good condition (no box damage either). Waited a few days to install due to weather/heatwave in our area. My Infiniti QX60 sits low, so to compensate and get a good height to install, I just backed in and let the back tires sit on the edge of the garage entrance (sloped driveway helps). Started to remove the 4 bolts that holds the tow hook, but they were super tight! I almost gave up, but had an idea to use the torque wrench and it worked! Then, propped up the hitch with a small step stool and screwed in one bolt on right side, then one on the left. When all bolts were screwed in, I used a cordless impact wrench to just lightly tighten then bolts. And finally used the torque wrench to tighten them to specifications (76 ft-lbs). Very happy with the install and hitch looks great in my QX60!!

by:

the hardest part was getting my teenager down to the garage to help.

installation was extremely easy. remove the 4 bolts holding the tow bracket, hold the receiver up to the frame, and bribe a teenager help run up 2 bolts to hold it in place, then install/tighten up the remaining 4 bolts and you're done.

entire installation took 20 minutes and could probably be done by a trained monkey.

pictures are of the tow bracket (removed, does not get reinstalled), three of the 6 bolts that hold it in place, and the receiver in place.

by:

Pretty simple install definitely helpful to have a helping hand for install. Having the step-by-step video also made it go a lot quicker.

Perfect fit for our 2017 Pathfinder.
Kudos
to etrailer.com for the software on the back end that so accurately matches their products to specific year, make, model, and trim. Double kudos for all of the videos...
The reviews are great for showing the features of the products, answering questions before they're asked - way better than wading through FAQ's. And the installation videos... Wow! Walking through the installation videos is what made me decide to buy and DIY. I had thought of hitch installation as something that required drilling and cutting and welding. I had always thought "Take it to a place that does hitch installation, it's not a DIY project". After watching the video, I saw that, at least on our Pathfinder, it's quick, easy thing to do with the tools I've already got. It's installed and looks great. Thanks!

I am very satisfied with the hitch.

by:

It fits and works so well. There was nothing wrong with the hitch. Just some of the bolts would not thread into the stock holes in the Nissan Pathfinder. After my two sons and I each tried for 30 min to get them to thread correctly we just used an impact wrench and screwed them home. It is solidly mounted. We use it daily with our 4 bike rack and it is awesome!

2018 Nissan Pathfinder

I have a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder with the motion activated lift gate (MALG). The hitch fits nicely but it pushes up against the underside of the bumper slightly causing a some deflection, however no damage is done. No need to cut the bumper. The MALG works on occasion after several attempts (front kick, side kick, angled kick, jump kick, etc). I haven't found that sweet spot yet and still working on it. Overall, the installation was easy but requires two people.
One to align the hitch while you bolt it in. I'm mainly going to use it with a bike rack and not so much towing.

Final impression: Love it and recommend it.

Works great good solid hitch

by:

My hitch arrived sooner than expected and was flawless. It came complete with everything needed to finish the job. One piece of advice would be to start a bolt on the drivers side to hold it in place. Then install a bolt (on the passenger side) closest to the muffler bracket. it will make your life easier. If the bumper fascia rubs on your new hitch you can remove the brackets (only two bolts per bracket) holding it in place and bend them up slightly, then reinstall the bracket.

2018 Nissan Pathfinder

I ordered DrawTite hitch #76031 along with Tekonsha Wiring #118273 and HM40975, 7 and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket for my 2018 Nissan Pathfinder SL. I ordered on a Thursday afternoon and the merchandise arrived the following Monday evening (with free shipping and no tax). The hitch arrived in excellent condition with no scratches or scrapes and was packaged very well. The total for my order was a great price! This also included a tube of dielectric grease and a brush. To get a factory hitch would have required an expensive "Technology Package" at a cost of over $2000 or a dealer install which would have cost over $1000.

I did the install of the hitch myself. It would have been far easier if I had a lift to raise the vehicle off the ground, and a helper to hold the hitch in place and get the 6 frame bolts started. I used an ice chest to prop up one side of the hitch while I got the bolts started on the other side. Watch the videos from etrailer before doing the install. I did have to trim about one-eighth of an inch off the corner of the gasoline vapor recovery box on the left underside of the vehicle to get the hitch into a position so that the holes in the hitch lined up with the weld nuts on the frame. I used a rotary file on the end of my drill to do this. The 2X2 receiver does barely touch the bottom of the rear trim on my Pathfinder but did not require cutting the trim to get it to fit.

The Tekonsha #118273 Factory Wiring was not difficult to install. The etrailer video on how to install this item was not as good as it could have been. The installer says he is going to make the 2 vehicle connections inside the left-rear of the vehicle "by feel," which may be fine for someone who knows what he is doing, but was not helpful to me. I pulled back the trim on the inside left rear to make these 2 connections. You should definitely make ALL of your wiring connections BEFORE installing the hitch itself. If you don't, it will be very difficult to reach the connectors outside the right rear of the vehicle if the hitch is already in place. BE WARNED about this.

The HM40975 connector was very easy to install and by having it you will not need to use an adapter to use a 4-way flat trailer connector. I used 2 stainless steel bolts to fasten the bracket into place instead of the included self-tapping bolts that were in the kit. This item is well worth the small cost.

I am completely satisfied with my purchase from etrailer and will not hesitate to recommend them highly. Both George and Adam at Etrailer were very helpful.
See the picture of the completed install on my 2018 Nissan Pathfinder SL.

  • Best Trailer Hitch, Cargo Carrier and Cargo Bag for 2018 Infiniti QX60
We have all the best parts to add a hitch, cargo carrier and cargo bag to your 2018 Infiniti QX60, and let's start with the hitch. The best hitch for your 2018 Infiniti QX60 is the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76031 because it is has the most ground clearance and bumper clearance of any hitch for your car. This means your cargo carrier is going to be as high off the ground as it can be with this hitch over any other. I have added a photo and a link to a video install on an '18 QX60...

Yes, even though the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76031 only uses 6 bolts as opposed to the 10 bolts for the OEM trailer hitch it has gone through an extensive amount of stress tests to ensure that the 6,000 lb trailer towing rating is completely safe. I highly recommend going with this over the OEM for your 2017 Nissan Pathfinder so that you can add some extra components.
