Great kit to add to any carI found the instruction easy to understand and I event watched the install video on the site. I am a pretty good elecrical guy so it was no problem for me, but you are going to need to know how to test probe the tailight plugs to find out what wires to connect to. I would suggest not using scotch locks to connect to the wires. Soldiering is the only way to make sure you arent damaging the wires. Good wiring option in a small package.

Worked great, just what I needed. Very happy with no problems.
Easy to install and no separate power required. Some of the other taillight converters require a dedicated 12V power source, which means routing power from the battery...not this unit! The unit is easy to install, but it doesn't come with the quick splice connectors, so order those as well if you don't want to solder and heat shrink. I installed this on a 2006 WRX which required partially removing some trunk carpet and 1 piece of trim (4 carpet fasteners and 2 plastic nuts). The demo video on etrailer.com for the 2007 WRX correctly identifies the wire colours (I checked). I have a 3rd brake light on my trailer, so I ran an additional brake light wire to the 5 pole plug I installed in place of the flat 4 connector that comes with this kit. If you aren't worried about scuffing the bumper with the wire hanging out the trunk, the flat 4 will work fine. I drilled a hole in the back panel of the trunk and routed the wires through a grommet and down to a PK11502 Pollak 5 pole socket plug.
Went though multiple adapters from different manufactures for 2000 Toyota tundra in less than a year, installed this unit and it's still working, it is a little more involved but able to locate the main body where road spray won't kill it.

Still working in Minnesota.
It took me a lot of time trying to figure out what I needed to adapt a 6 Pin round to a 4 Pin flat on a 2008 Winnebago View with always on daytime running lights. Brake lights wouldn't illuminate, turn signals worked fine, and DRLs were always on the towed vehicle as well as the View. Normal plug-in adapters won't work and there was no way without an expensive Dealer reprogramming to disable the DRLs.
This baby did the trick, once the brake controller wire was identified it was a simple matter of splicing.
This unit worked well with my 2013 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen TDI. The only thing I had to do to make it work better was to run two relays, one for the running lights and one for the brake lights.
Other than that issue, It's an easy to install and easy to wire type of deal.
Still functioning perfectly a whole year later!
