Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's factory tow package wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper, on the passenger's side.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this T-One vehicle wiring harness with the four-way flat trailer connector for the factory tow package. Now, this harness is a custom-fit part. This one is designed to fit the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder vehicles. And on a custom-fit part like this, I do recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in a year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application.
Now, if you notice, this will provide the four-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights, and it is designed for use with a factory tow package. It's designed to plug into the factory connector on your vehicle. Now, this harness is compatible with five-pole, six-pole, and seven-pole adapters that we do sell separately on our website. And it does connect very quickly and easily. There's no cutting or splicing of wires.
Basically, that connector that this plugs into is located under the vehicle, behind the rear bumper on the passenger side of the vehicle. You just pull off the cap, plug this in, you're ready to go. Run this length of cable out the back. And then just like that, you can plug in to get lights. Now, this does come with a nice set of instructions that'll describe and show where that part is, or the, where that connector is located and how to make your connection.
They do even include some extra cable ties to take up any slack in the wiring. Now, this wire is constructed of a 16 gauge bonded wire. And if you notice on the four-way, does come with this integrated dust cap that you can put over the terminals, and that's for when you're not using it. When it's not plugged in, it will protect those terminals from any damage or from the elements. Few specs on this harness, The maximum amperage is 7.5 amps per circuit.

Wiring works except for running lights
This is a brand new vehicle.
Wire harness although very easy to install it did not work for my car make and model. When testing with an utility trailer lights worked, when the time came for me to hook up my uhaul trailer ONE DAY before my move from AZ to MS the lights did not work, due to the inaccurate description, information and knowledge of the costumer service representative that I spoke to on the phone the wrong harness kit was purchased. This made it so I had to turn to the dealership begging them to take me last minute the DAY of my move and having to spend a ridiculous amount of money for them to install a relay kit. Money aside the purchase of this kit teamed up with inaccurate information caused me so much stress instead of the peace of mind that I came to this company for.

The correct wiring kit youll need will depend on whether or not your Pathfinder was equipped with the factory tow package, which includes the relay and harness needed to activate the tow package wiring. If your vehicle already had the relay installed which vehicles equipped with the tow package do the part you purchased would work just fine. On vehicles without the tow package, part # TK58VR is needed, which includes the relay and extra harness.

It sounds like you got the wrong harness. The one you ordered lacks the jumper harness and the relay needed to activate the tow package in vehicles that aren't factory equipped with that feature. You'll need # TK58VR instead. Just click the hyperlink.
