TruXedo TonneauMate Toolbox Installation - 2011 Chevy Silverado

Today on this 2011 Chevy Silverado we are going to install part number TX1117416-458 from TruXedo. This is TruXedos TonneauMate truck bed toolbox. And this part number also contains a special clamp kit for GM trucks that come with the cargo management systems. First off, this is what the toolbox looks like when installed on the vehicle. And next we will show you the rail system that gets clamped on. You can see how the rail system attaches to the truck bed itself and how it does not interfere with the factory cargo system. As shown here, we have the driver side installed. And we will go ahead and show you how to install the passenger side. The first thing we need to do is loosen up the factory cargo system. In the corner towards the cab there is a plastic cover that has to be removed so we can loosen up the rail. Let us go ahead and do that first. And there are three bolts: one, two and there is our third bolt. So what we will do is go ahead and loosen all of these bolts. We will not remove them because we do not want to lose the assembly that is behind the sheet metal of the bed. Back all of these about an inch on all three of them. Then you can pull the rail back and you can see how much bolt you have left over on the inside. So here you can see the bolt where it goes into the assembly that holds everything together. Just keep loosening it up until you barely have one or two threads showing. That will give us plenty of room to work around it. And these are all three identical on the rail. 1:23

United Welding Services Trailer Toolbox Review

Today we are going to install part number UWS01039 from United Welding Service UWS. What this is is their tool box, chest type, that is designed for the front of trailers and we will cover some of the components of the box. First you can see it is made entirely of aluminum. Diamond plate and tread plate. It also comes with its own locking handle right here that just pops open a little bit. You can see it stays up with gas cylinder right here. When you look at the lid you can see it has a foam weather strip going all the way around the perimeter that helps keep the wind, rain, and dust out of the inside of the box. The whole box itself is all welded together. No bolts or anything like that. 00:37

DeWalt Industrial Truck Bed Toolbox Review

Today we are going to be reviewing the DeWalt industrial truck bed toolbox part number DIGS70B. This industrial strength toolbox is the top of the line for the heavy duty contractor out there. This toolbox features two J fasteners. One for each side of the vehicle. This is what is going to be holding the toolbox to the truck bed. You are simply going to need to drill a hole on the inside of your toolbox. Slide your J hook in through there and that will fasten on the underside of the lip of the truck bed rail. 00:24

DeWalt Contractor Series Truck Bed Toolbox Review

Today we are going to be reviewing the DeWalt Contractor Series Truck Bed Toolbox, part number DCS70. This toolbox features two J-fasteners, one for each side of the vehicle. This is what is going to holding the toolbox to the truck bed. You are simply going to drill a hole on the inside of your toolbox here, side your J-hook through there, and that will fasten on the underside of the lip of the truck bed rail. The DeWalt Contractor Series Truck Bed Toolbox is perfect for storing you additional tools in the bed of your truck. This toolbox measures 70 inches long, 19-1/4 inches wide, and 13-1/2 inches tall, which equals 8.6 cubic feet of space. :36

United Welding Services Crossover Toolbox Review

Today we are going to cover part number UWS00109. This is from United Welding Services. This is their Crossover Toolbox - all-aluminum, heavy-gauge material. As you can see, it has diamond plate. Next, we will show you how this box gets installed. There are two adhesive-backed, foam strips that go underneath the crossover part, between the bed and the crossover box. And you want to do this for the other side.

Holes will have to be drilled to match your trailer. You will then need to add your own hardware from an automotive or hardware store. I recommend nuts, bolts, and w

  • Are the Black Powder Coated UWS Toolboxes Shiny or Matte in Appearance
  • The black powder coat on UWS toolboxes, like # UWS00378, has more of a semi-gloss than a matte appearance so the box will have somewhat of a shine to it.
