Video Transcript for What to Know About the Replacement Weight Distribution Head for Heavy-Duty Trunnion Bars

Today we're going to be taking a look at part #62167. This is the Draw-Tite Weight Distribution Head for Heavy Duty Trunnion Bars. It's made from a steel construction with a black powder coat finish to resist rusting corrosion. We're going to have the raised hitch ball platform and the ball platform that's forged, as well as the spring bar mounts. The hitch ball hole is designed to work with hitch balls that have a shank diameter of 1 1/4". You can use a hitch ball with a 1" shank diameter, but in that situation you will have to use the reducer bushing. That's going to reduce that opening from 1 1/4" down to 1". It's going to come with brand new mounting hardware.

You're going to get the bolts, the lock washers, your nuts, and the serrated washers. The serrated washers are going to allow for the head to tilt and adjust as needed for your particular application. It's got the teeth here on the side that it's going to dig into on each side. That's going to lock that desired tilt into place. The unit's going to be rated for up to 15,000 pounds of gross towing weight and 1500 pounds of tongue weight. We're going to have the little hole right here.

That's designed to hold a smaller ball that would work with a sway control system. It's going to be covered with a limited lifetime warranty. Again, brand new hardware's included.
