What's up everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this replacement power switch for your RAM Electric Jack. It's gonna be a replacement switch for your jack. So if the button breaks over time, or even the bevel cracks and just doesn't look good and you wanna replace it so looks like new, you can do that. I like that.
So you don't have to buy a whole new jack. It's not too bad to replace. There's a little bit of wiring. Let's get right to it. First thing we're gonna do is remove the screws on the outside.
So there'll be one up here. One on the back side, and one underneath. We'll back all those out, set 'em aside. Underneath here, we'll back out those screws. You got the silver ones up front, and then the gold ones towards the back.
With those removed, I can separate the two portions here. Let's go and remove the bottom one. Set it aside. Now this portion, we're gonna have to pop out the switches. You just push on the backside of them and they pop out.
The wires are gonna be attached underneath. So I suggest checking that out, taking a picture of both sides and make sure you wire back up. Cause there's gonna be six wires that have to go back in place. Then it's gonna get a little crowded in there. There is six different connections, but make sure you run the wires through this portion. And then connect the switch, cause you don't wanna get it all connected and realize you have to take it apart to pop it back in. Another tip would be, transfer one wire at a time when you're going from the old switch to the new switch. It'd be even more helpful just to do that. That way, you know they're going in the right spot. With the wires run, before I pop the switch back in, let's make sure it works. Looks like the jack is going to retract. And also extend. So now I can push this rocker switch back in. Overall, I like that there's a replacement for the switch. The fact I don't have to buy a whole new jack is very helpful. Now it does take a little bit to wire, but it's not too bad. I've done it a couple times. And as long as you take pictures or pay attention, or even go wire by wire, it won't take you that long. Now you can't get a whole new assembly as well. So if this is scratched up or damaged, you wanna replace this too while you're already rewiring it and popping those the switches, you can pick that up on our site as well. Well then that does it. Replaces the power switch on your electric A-frame jack with footplate (EJ-3520-BBX).I saw a switch that looked like this cheaper other places, but etrailer provided the exact fitment and showed the same application that I had, giving me confidence that the switch would handle the electrical load. The others looked the same, but would they handle the job?
This is not the correct switch for the RAM jack. It is too small and it is not wired correctly.

I know that this switch is specific to model number EJ-3520-BBX. What is the model number of your jack? I am happy to see if we have the switch on our site.
Power switch arrived quickly and works well I am more than satisfied.
The switch is different than the one in the Ram Jack!

Bought to replace a broken switch on a RAM EJ3520 electric trailer jack. Simply popped out the old switch with a screwdriver and moved the wires from the old switch to the same positions on this one. Works & fits perfectly.

It’s been a year and the switch is working fine. Hardly a day goes by that I don’t use it. So it is durable for sure.
Bought this to replace a faulty switch in the trailer jack for a 2017 Forest River SM19 travel trailer. Haven't installed it yet. Shipping did take awhile. Ordered 10/6, received 10/19.

I ordered a power switch for my camper jack on Tuesday and it arrived Friday morning. I will be using etrailer.com again.
Couldn't appreciate the switch much since it still didn't work. The old switch face was cracked around the edges and was loose feeling. l don't have an ohm/volt meter to further research. l'm debating a manual one or a new power jack. That Bull Dog one you sell, may be my next order.

Thank you for your review. This switch is a specific replacement part for the RAM electric trailer jack part # EJ-3520-BBX. The EJ-3520-BBX model offers 25 1/8 of lift and handles 3.5k weight. The closest bulldog jack we offer to your current jack, is part # BD500199. This bulldog jack offers a 22 lift and can handle up to 4,000 lbs. I have attached a link for it below.

l bought another one like it thats working fine, lve intended to discover why it quit and still have it.
Not a direct replacement for broken switch. Ordered knowing this. I had to jumper pins to make it work with my jack. Little extra work but got the job done.
