Will Curt RVibrake Shadow 2 Fit 2026 Ford Maverick Hybrid

Hello. I am interested in installing the RVIBrake Shadow RVI94FR on my 2026 Fork Maverick Hybrid Lariat. I found several questions from other customers asking about Maverick, and several etrailer folks commented that the RVIBrake Shadow will work for this truck. However when adding my vehicle to the My Vehicle fit feature on your website, the site states that this brake is not compatible. Can you please confirm if this brake is compatible with my vehicle? Curious if it may have to do with aligning a hole through the firewall to connect the cylinder cable to the brake. I have installed the original Shadow on my Jeep Wrangler with zero issues. We are happy with the product. Thank you for your help.

Hey Jim; the Curt RVibrake Shadow 2 # RVI94FR is not compatible with your 2026 Maverick. Initially it was listed as a fit but Curt/Lippert came out with an exclusion list that includes the Maverick Hybrid. Right now it is listed as 2022-2025 but it carries over to the '26 as well. We will have to go back through and update those answers if we still have some saying it is a fit.
If you want to use an RVibrake system the Curt RVibrake 4 # RVI44FR is compatible. If you would prefer a permanent system then I recommend the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Braking System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes # DM86VR instead.
