Features to know about

Raises and Levels with Ease: Direct-Drive Electric Lift with 34-7/8" Total Travel

Getting your trailer level doesn’t have to mean wrestling with hand cranks. This electric landing gear set uses a direct-drive motor to lift smoothly and evenly at the push of a switch. Each leg stands 33-1/2" tall with 19-7/8" of travel and a 15" drop leg, giving a total lift of 34-7/8". With a combined capacity of 6,500 lbs, it’s built for steady, confident support when raising or lowering your setup.

Quick Setup on Uneven Ground: Adjustable Drop Legs with 1" Increments

When the campsite ground isn’t level, the adjustable drop legs make it easy to get things straight. Each leg adjusts in 1" increments so the footpads reach the ground fast, cutting down on battery draw and setup time. Cage pins are included to secure the legs, and you can upgrade later to spring-loaded pull pins (LG-119113) for single-handed release.

Built to Last Outside: Heavy-Duty Steel with Corrosion-Resistant Gearbox

Outdoor use can wear down weaker gear fast, but this system’s heavy-duty steel construction is built for years of use. The gearbox sits in a corrosion-resistant aluminum housing that shields it from dirt and moisture. Large rectangular footplates keep the jacks steady on soft or uneven surfaces, and optional 9" pads (LG-210475) are available if you camp where the ground gives easily.

Safe Power Where You Need It: IP-Rated Switch for Spark-Free Operation

The integrated switch is IP-rated so it won’t spark when mounted near gas bottles or other sensitive areas. That means you get safe, reliable power every time without worrying about electrical issues. The single-speed motor keeps current draw low and won’t trip circuits or interfere with onboard electrical systems.

Reliable and Compatible: Works with Common Landing Gear Setups

This set welds directly to your trailer frame and comes complete with two jacks, a gearbox, motor, switch, footplates, cross shaft, hand crank, and hardware. It’s designed to work with most other fifth-wheel landing gear systems from brands like Atwood and Lippert, so replacing old or damaged jacks is straightforward without extra fabrication work.

Had a hard time trying to figure out what I was going to use On my 2013 Jayco, I discovered the original landing gear was made by Atwood and had a 37 inch long outer tube. Which was specific to that Jayco model, the Stromberg was the closest unit. I had to modify by adding a tab to meet my brackets. But once that small modification was done, it fit perfectly and raises and lowers the camper far faster than it ever did before. Thanks for etrailer for providing the measurements So I knew which jacks to use. It wouldn't have been anywhere near as easy to do if it wasn't for the information that etrailer was able to provide, I thank them greatly.

That's awesome, Melissa - so glad the specs are what were able to lead you to the right choice. Thanks for sharing what you had to do to get it to work for you, too. I bet you aren't the only person to be in this boat and now others will have an idea of what works :) Did you get the trailer out for the 4th of July?

It would have been nice if both drop LEGS were the same color! One was stainless steel color and one was gold color! Maybe when they were putting together they would have matched the Legs ! The rest of Landing Gear was nice! Pride in their equipment would be nice ! Hope they see this report!!!
by:
Product fit correctly and works correctly, didn't take long to install with no modifications, AWESOME!! Thanks!
by:
Landing gear was exactly what I ordered. Prompt delivery. Package was perfect. Landing gear just not as heavy duty as I hoped. I'm sure I will be replacing it again in a few years.

Works great exact fit. Heavy camper and I think from the factory its just too light duty. My opinion

I have a 2010 Bighorn 3055rl and these jacks were an exact match to the failed jacks so installation was simply a reverse of the removal. All of the necessary parts were included for a full replacement. The quality seems similar to the originals. I hope they last longer and they should as I have changed how I operate them. In my opinion, they did not come with enough grease on them and that may also be part of the reason the original jacks failed. I put plenty of grease on these.

Still working as expected.

I purchased this landing gear to replace the RBW landing gear on a 1998 Mallard made by Fleetwood. Only one side of the RBW was bad, but I was unable to find parts to repair it. I had to weld new brackets to the legs to match the existing U brackets that were already welded to the frame of the 5th wheel. Everything went smoothly with the installation until I went to hook up the square tubing for the cross bar that ties the legs together. The tubing was about 8" too short to reach from one leg to the other. Luckily I was able to use the cross bars from the original RBW gear. I am not sure why the Stromberg Carlson cross bar was so short because my 5th Wheel is a standard width. Other than that it looks like a good product.

We have used the camper jacks at least 11 times and they have worked perfectly & also operates very quietly. We are very pleased with them & give it a 5 star rating.
by:
I could not find exactly the right size that I need it for the front of my 40 foot Jayco fifth wheel however this unit work just fine and has given me a year’s good service no problems no complaints
by:

by:
Satisfied with everything! Was able to change all that out in a few hrs, not bad for my first time. Wish I would have done it last yr when I started having trouble.
by:

by:
was pleased with the service and shipping time. Have it half installed as it is raining now with a lake under the front.
by:
Landing gear package was everything i needed and fit perfectly. Installed and working great.
by:
Product was exactly what I needed. We only had to make one modification to the legs so that we did not have to weld in the new straps. Works perfect.
I would love that it instructions would have shown the picture as if you were facing the equipment.

I'm typically not one to complain or write a poor review however, E-Trailer has produced very poor customer service and product handling. I called and ordered this landing gear over the phone to ensure with a representative that I was getting the correct part. My concern was the weld stops mounting up to my current brackets. The representative ensured they would fit after reviewing specs. When the legs arrived I was surprised by how poor the packaging was upon opening the makeshift packaging the legs looked like they were used and they were missing several parts. I contacted customer service they offered a $[XX] discount and part replacement. When I went to install the legs, I discovered that they would not fit my brackets and the measurements the representative gave we not accurate. I called customer service again. The end result was I had to purchase another set of legs and wait up to 14 days to get reimbursed for the legs which were the wrong fit. I requested a discount of some sort due to the inconvenience this caused. The supervisor offered expedited shipping and that is all. If I wasn't in a situation in which I needed new legs to repair my 5th wheel, I would have definitely gave my business to another company.
by:
I wasn't sure about this product when I ordered it. I measured my old unit several times and everything seemed to match. I was very pleased to find everything I found on the website was correct and the install went much smoother than I anticipated. Very happy with the end result.

  • Replacement Landing Gear for 1998 Carriage Carri-Lite RK 732
Hi James; the better option would be the Bulldog # BD500162 you were looking at. You can add the Motor and Switch Kit for Stromberg Carlson Landing Gear # LG-217884 to the Bulldog which will give it the same functionality as the # LG-4 while saving you some money. If you want a crank handle to go with it you can use the # BD500203. The distance between the mounting brackets (underside of top bracket to top of lower bracket as shown in the diagram) is 17-1/2 inches. If this matches what...

  • Replacement Landing Gear Follow Leg for 2003 Keystone Everest
We can get you un-stranded! The correct follow leg for your landing gear is going to depend on how long it is. If your leg measures 29-1/2" (see attached photo), you would need replacement # LG-179014, which can be used with most landing gear sets Atwood, Venture, and Lippert models. The same is true of replacement # LG-177201, which you would use if your leg measured 33-1/2". I've attached a link to a video review for you to take a look at as well.

  • Troubleshooting Landing Gear Not Lifting 5th Wheel
Any powered landing gear or powered tongue jack will draw less power as it legs descend down toward the ground and much more as soon as they make contact and encounter resistance. This is a normal occurrence. In the same way, any jack - even a manual hand-crank type - requires less power (or force) when lowering the trailer than when lifting it. The cause for your powered landing gear losing steam could be any of several possibilities. These include the trailer's battery not being rated...

Hi Shaun, I can definitely help with that. From what we typically see on the 2020 Forest River Wolfpack 365PACK16, the most common landing gear setup is the Lippert/Venture style system with 33-1/2 inch outer tubes and 15-1/2 inch inside-to-inside weld stop spacing.
