Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the Ark Drop Down Corner RV stabilizing jack kit. This kit is going to come with two of these jacks, as well as a winding handle to raise and lower them. These jacks are stabilizer jacks so they're going to allow your chassis to move less. Once you get to your destination, you'll lower these down, and they'll give you a little bit more stability for your camper so that you're not having that rocking sensation as you're moving around in your camper.
These are not designed to lift any weight, so they're not going to be lifting jacks. So keep that in mind, make sure that you're getting the right jack for your needs. These jacks are really nice. One thing I like about them, they have these nice wide feet so even if you are setting up on soft earth, they're not going to sink in. They're about 6" wide by about 6" tall, so nice wide foot there. They do pivot so even if you are setting up on un-level ground, these will accommodate so that you always have sure footing there.
As far as our height goes, when we have it fully retracted like it is now, it sits about 16 and a half inches. So pretty compact, easy to transport. And then when we have it fully extended it's right about 24 and a half inches. It's right about 2ft in total height so you can see the difference between our extended and retracted options there. As far as getting these mounted in place, it's going to be very...
there's a lot of options for you.So this plate up here that I'm going to take off real fast, this is your weld-on plate. It's connected with these long bolts. This can be welded onto the chassis of your camper. That way, if you ever need to take the jack off, if something we're to.. one of the components we're to fail or something, you need to replace the jack, you can just remove those bolts and remove the jack from that weld-on plate.
You won't have to worry about breaking your welds or anything like that. Alternatively, if you don't like welding, you can just discard this weld-on plate and then drill a couple of holes in the top of the jack there and bolt this in place. So either option will work. Just a matter of preference, up to you which one you prefer. But once you have this plate where you want it, it is very easy to put these bolts back in and get those nuts on the end. They tighten down with a 13mm wrench and socket.Another really nice feature is this adjustable mechanism here. So it's got a nice wide handle, very easy to grip, and then you simply pull back on it. It's spring-loaded so those pins will disengage and it will allow this head to pivot. There's multiple locations that it can lock into to maximize the angles that you're working with. But then when you want to retract it, put it away, it will sit up there like that. So once you have this welded in place, this will be sitting parallel to your chassis. So it will sit up nice and tight. And you can see that our foot here does automatically drop down like that. But as you're traveling down the road, it might bounce around a lot. One of the nice features of this, you can close the handle to get access to your port here. And if you retract this enough it will lock that foot in place so that it's not going to wobble around and move. I could actually probably tighten that down just a little bit more. But you also have these pads on either side that are going to help prevent that metal-on-metal contact. So even if this is just a little bit loose, it won't make as much noise. So that will help as we're traveling down the road, not having to worry about the noise that's rattling around down there because there won't be any. This does have a black powdercoat finish to it. So it's going to be nice and rust and corrosion-resistant. So it should do a good job, hold up well for a long time. And this handle is very easy to use. Just as you've seen me do, just get it in place there. It's got a twisting knob on the end and then a grip here in the middle. So very easy to extend our jack and retract it again. So if you're looking for a stabilizing jack set I'd say this is going to be a great option for you. It's got a lot of nice features to it and the weld-on plate or bolting-on option should fit for just about any application out there. So that's going to complete our look for today. This set is the 2ft set. There is a slightly larger set as well that we have available here at etrailer.com. So if this isn't going to extend as far as you need it to I'd recommend you checking that one out, it might better suit your needs. So that's going to complete our look for today. Thanks for watching. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com and we'll see you next time.

Minimize chassis movement in your camper with this stabilizer kit. Corner steadies have locking swivel brackets and large grip handles for easy swiveling. Large, flat, load-bearing feet are ideal for soft ground. Winding handle included. These stabilizers are exactly what I needed for a class C camper. Installation was exactly like your tech video described. Etrailer is awesome, thanks!!
Great product, welded the mounts to the front rails of the trailer and was easy to use. Took the weight off the hitch lift. A driver tried to drive off and forgot to raise the stabilizers and damaged them badly. Replacements were easy to attach to the welded mount. We are back in operation.
Love the stabilizer operation style. Would like to see a slightly shorter one as the required clearance needed to swing down at some camp sites is difficult
Had one of the two jacks fail to extend more than 2" from start? Other jack works fine! Only stableizing 1800 lbs. I need only one replacement.
Great product but… VERY poorly packed for shipping! Both of my shipments were delivered falling out of the cartons. If these weren’t so bombproof, they would of been destroyed. Only 1 of the four I ordered was bent at delivery.
These jacks work exactly like they should. I think it was a very good investment for my 34 foot bumper pull camper. Highly recommended!
The Jacks were delivered on time, will not hesitate do buy again from etrailer.com.
Great thank you exactly what I needed.
The box was a little beat up but, after all they are heavy steel parts and they are trying to keep the weight down for shipping coasts. The stabilizers were in great shape. I liked that the mounting brackets are removable and made it convenient to weld in place. The brackets could be bolted on but, you would have to countersink the bolts as there is about 1/8" clearance between the bracket and stabilizer body. I'm very happy with them and would recommend them. I would like to have etrailer show all the dimensions and capacities.
Works perfectly to level my off road trailer/camper. Gives my camper a solid footing on any terrain. Easy to mount and operate. They fold up tightly against the frame and don't affect ground clearance whatsoever. Would buy again.
We mounted ours above the frame and love that we can take our camper into the woods on bad roads and never have to wonder if our rear jacks will still be there when we get ready to set up! We’ve had ours on for a year now and highly recommend.
I've built my 6X12 enclosed utility trailer for hauling my motorcycle, and camping in it when out riding. Replaced the rear jacks with the cheapest thing I could find after ripping them off once. Decided it was time for some quality replacements, and saw these ARK units on etrailer.
Worth every penny when I opened the box.
Made a project day out of the install and I am very happy now. Welded on the brackets (supplied) and found that I don't even need a tire jack for the trailer anymore. These lift the trailer wheel completely off the ground if needed.
Heading to Death Valley next month to try them out in the field.
Thank you etrailer once again.
I put the jacks on an over lander trailer I built to be pulled by my Atv. The jacks worked excellent to prevent side to side movement.
Love these stabilizer jacks. The only thing I wish is it was able to lift and not just stabilize. It would be nice for changing tires on my small off road trailer.
Installed on my enclosed trailer conversion.. works great so far
These Ark jacks do exactly what I need them to. Their construction is very good and were simple to mount in my application. The reason they get 3 stars is because the finish may be a coating manufacturer-rated 600-HR powder coat, but Ark is not properly preparing the metal and applying this coating. Within a couple of months, my jacks were showing rust between the telescoping sections. This is not typical for quality powder coat! Now, I need to refinish them after just over a year since mounting them on my trailer. I paid more to get the black finish, but it's not holding up.
The stabilizer jack is rugged and durable and does a great job of stabilizing my camping trailer. I use the manual hand crank but it takes a lot of turns to crank it up and down. I plan on getting an adapter for my battery operated drill to use instead of the hand crank.
Awesome stabilizer.
