Electric, fifth-wheel landing gear set's motor has an IP-rated switch for fast, easy, and safe operation. Each leg is 29-1/2" tall, offers 19-7/8" of travel, and has a 15" drop leg for extra lift. Combined weight capacity is 6.5K.

Features:

  • Perfect for raising, leveling, and supporting your 5th-wheel trailer or RV
  • Electric-powered adjustment for easy operation
  • Direct drive reduces strain on your jack and allows landing gear to lift with ease
    • No clutch that could slip
  • Single-speed motor won't trip circuits or cause problems with coach's electrical systems
    • IP-rated switch will not spark, so it can be mounted safely in bottle-gas area
  • Drop legs minimize jacking time and help to level the trailer on uneven ground
    • Legs adjust in 1" increments
  • Cage pins included to release drop legs
    • Upgrade to spring-loaded pull pins (LG-119113 - sold separately) for simpler drop leg release
  • Hand crank included for manual operation
  • Heavy-duty steel construction
  • Gearbox is housed in a corrosion-resistant aluminum body
  • Landing gear welds onto trailer frame
  • Set includes 2 jacks, gearbox, motor, switch, footplates, cross shaft, hand crank, and hardware
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Leg length: 29-1/2"
  • Total lift: 34-7/8"
    • Travel: 19-7/8"
    • Drop leg: 15"
  • Rate of travel: 5-1/2" per minute
  • Combined weight capacity: 6,500 lbs
  • Cross shaft length: 41" - 71"
  • Footplate dimensions: 8" long x 5" wide x 2" tall
  • Outer tube width: 2-1/2"
  • 1-Year warranty

Note: Landing gear is designed to stabilize a portion of your trailer's weight, not to support the full GVWR of your trailer. Do not use landing gear to lift your trailer or RV during tire changes or service work because doing so will exceed the capacity of the landing legs.

Stromberg Carlson's landing gear was designed with safety in mind. The motor, manufactured by Lippert, won't trip circuits or cause problems with the coach's electrical systems. In addition, the IP-rated switch will not spark, so it can be mounted safely in the bottle-gas area.

Convenience is also a hallmark of this product. An inner drop leg on each jack makes leveling easy by allowing the jack feet to reach the ground quickly and at varying heights, saving time and thus reducing the draw on the trailer's battery. The cage pins that secure the drop legs can be replaced with spring-loaded pull pins (LG-119113 - sold separately) that allow for single-handed operation. Large, rectangular, pivoting footpads are included, but you can use larger, 9-inch-diameter pads (LG-210475 - sold separately) instead if you often camp on soft ground.

This system and its parts were designed to be compatible with most of the other fifth-wheel landing gear on the market, including Atwood and Lippert. If you're replacing your old landing gear, you can install this set from Stromberg Carlson using your existing mounting hardware.

  • Why Would Stromberg Carlson Fifth Wheel Landing Gear Shut Off Before Reaching Desired Height
Hey Carlos, are you sure the jack set hasn't reached the end of it's stroke and that's just where it is stopping? Does it make any odd sounds or slow down right before it stops? Hows the battery on the trailer? Are the wiring connections from the landing gear to the battery solid.

  • Replacement Drop Leg for 2017 Heartland 328RE Sundance
In order to get the correct replacement drop leg you will need to know the manufacturer and model of your current landing gear because they do need to match in order to keep your Heartland Sundance level. For example, the Replacement Lead Jack w/ Drop Leg # LG-179013 is designed for use with Stromberg Carlson models # LG-1, # LG-3, and # LG-183708. I've added a link to our page with out selection of landing gear for you to take a look at.

  • Comparing Stromberg Carlson Landing Gear Kits LG-1 and LG-3 For 2007 Cherokee Fifth Wheel
I would go with the # LG-3 as it has a higher capacity at 6,500 lbs which means it will move a bit quicker and have to work less hard which means it will last longer. The # LG-1 has a lower capacity at 5,500 lbs works great for a lot of people, but the # LG-3 is the better choice.

  • Are Landing Gear Legs for a 5th Wheel Trailer Brand Specific
The most important metric for selecting new landing gear legs for a 5th wheel trailer is the overall length of the outer tube. The two most common measurements are 29-1/2" and 33-1/2". If you select the correct replacement based on the outer tube length that will then most likely ensure that the mounting bracket lines up so no welding is required. If your trailer has outer tubes that are 29-1/2" long then you will want to use part # LG-3 but if your trailer has outer tubes that are 33-1/2"...

  • How To Determine Which Landing Gear Will Replace My Landing Gear On My 2006 Keystone Cougar 5W?
We'd be more than happy to help you find what landing gear you'd need for your 2006 Keystone Cougar 5th wheel, however in order to determine a landing gear that is compatible, you will just need to measure the distance between the mounting brackets on your trailer rom the underside of the top bracket, to the top of the lower bracket. I have included a diagram showing where to measure below. So, if your brackets happened to measure 17-1/2" from bracket to bracket, with 34-7/8" of lift,...

I recommend replacing your landing gear completely to avoid the hassle of searching through used parts hoping to find a compatible fit. • Will Lippert Universal Landing Gear Fit in Place of a System with No Name
Most landing gear sets fit on the trailer the same way so it is very likely that the Lippert Universal kit # LC333966 will fit your trailer. But regarding if the motor you have will work or not I cannot say without knowing the manufacturer or model. For a little bit more you could get a system that comes with a motor, # LG-1, which is rated for 5,500 pounds. The next size up, # LG-3, is rated for 6,500 pounds.

  • Recommended Replacements For VMC9000L 5th Wheel Landing Gear On A 2007 Fleetwood Prowler 285
The VMC900L number you found is a determining number and we definitely have a replacement kit for you. And actually two different options. I will say that the measurements you got are a little different than what we have available though, so the mounting straps may need to be relocated to get replacements. I included a diagram of how these will measure for you to check out, but the 29-1/2" overall height matches perfectly. With that said, if you wanted to replace the whole system, the...

I'd go with a powered set of landing gear for your toy hauler as that will make operating them much easier since you'd be just holding down a button instead of having to crank the jacks up and down. Therefore, the only option you have would be to replace the entire set. For this, the Stromberg Carlson Electric Landing Gear Set part # LG-3 is a very popular option.
