Question:

I have a 2007 Cougar fifth wheel. The landing gear operates fine when extending but will not retract. It starts to retract then stops, though the motor is still running and the shaft is spinning. It was just the right side, passenger side but now both sides will not retract. Looks like the legs are trying to do something but will not raise. Is it gears or something else?

From what you have described it sounds as if the landing gear needs to be replaced. For your 2007 Keystone Cougar, I recommend the Stromberg Carlson kit, # LG-1 which matches exactly what you have and includes the motor too. Or, for a non-powered kit that will cost a bit less, # LG-183708 but this requires you to hand crank it.
