When you’re pulling serious weight like a camper, utility trailer, or boat, you need a hitch that can handle it. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver – Class V XD – is built for heavy-duty towing with a 2" x 2" receiver opening. It’s rated for up to 16,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 2,400 lbs tongue weight under standard use, and up to 17,000 lbs GTW when used with a weight distribution system. The fully welded, square-tube design gives it the backbone needed for demanding jobs while keeping everything stable and secure on the road.
Installing a hitch shouldn’t require a shop full of tools. This Curt receiver bolts directly to the frame using pre-existing holes and includes all mounting hardware and installation instructions right in the box. There’s no welding or fabrication needed, so it’s perfect for DIY setups done from the driveway or garage. Duceolsen from KY even mentioned drilling a few holes on his shuttle bus build—it was worth it for the solid fit and performance when hauling his 24 ft camper and bike rack.

Still no issues, completely happy with the hitch. Had a 4000mile road trip this summer with a cargo carrier, exhaust damaged some of the cargo so will be rerouting the exhaust soon.
