A little more of a challenge to get this component installed into my rig, however it fit perfectly! Odelia is always a reliable resource.

by:

The parts were exactly what I ordered and better than the OEM parts. It took only an hour to replace the OEM landing gears.

by:

I ordered 2 jacks to replace on my fifth wheel camper, one jack didn’t have any grease in it and was not easy to move up and down causing my gearbox to break so hard to replace the gearbox and it still doesn’t go up and down very easily. Not very happy with the jacks.

by:

Great service and timely delivery and Thanks Steve Z for helping me pick out the parts I needed for my Trailer. The Jacks fit perfectly

EZ to install. Highly recommend this company and this product.

by:

Received quickly, and installed that afternoon. Easily fit right back into clamps. Was expecting to make some kind of adjustments. No problem at all. Etrailer staff knew what they were talking about. Understood what I was mumbling and got me the right parts. Great people, hats off to Quinn and Nickolas.

by:

the landing gear drop legs look good they even have grease fittings for the gears and shafts the original ones did not . I will install them in about a week . the price was very good they were on back order but worth the wait thanks paul

legs work great very good product

by:

Product shipped fast. As per some reviews I had to modify the tabs to get it to fit. I ground off about 1/16" with a cut off wheel on my die grinder. This leg works great and comes with 2 zerk fittings which my OEM did not have. The zerks are better than nothing but I used a piece of PVC packed with grease to lube the jack screw.

Still working great

I called my order in so I could ask the questions to make sure it was the correct piece. Nick was very astute and understood how to help me! I first found this part without grease fittings, but she'd if I could put them in. Then, Nick found me this that already has them!
Ordering was easy. Free shipping got it here in a few days, on time. Install was easy. Popped in just like the old one popped out.
The only issue: my old one had a bracket welded onto it that would push up against a flat bracket on the trailer post. This new one did not. I'm not sure if it is necessary since this new one didn't come with it? But I cut the old one off and welded it onto this one. Took an extra half hour. Fortunately, that was easy for me... But if you don't have a welder? Just make sure to ask if it is truly necessary?!
Other than that, very pleased with their service and the product with as soon as it was installed. I'll update if it breaks early...

by:

I ordered the complete landing gear for my 2006 Thor 5th wheel. As I have always in the past been satisfied with the quick service and quality of the components. Installation was pretty straightforward. I will continue to order all my hardware from etrailer as done in the past. Great customer service over the phone and quick delivery of the parts.

by:

I had to weld a 5/8” piece a flat steel above the lower weld stop in order to fit my 5th wheel but any replacement jacks would have required this modification. There are 2 grease zirk fittings and fortunately I can easily get to them. Just a quick bolt in replacement.

by:

The lead leg went on our 2006 Keystone Montana Mountaineer and was an exact fit. Order just the gears but before came realized needed to replace whole leg. Called and spoke with customer service and sales, they sent me a return slip and my item was returned per their policy with no problem. They were very helpful and knowledgeable, to help me get what I needed for sure. Product arrived quickly, easy installation, and now ready to enjoy summer. Ordered from etrailer before, they are a wonderful, knowledgeable company to keep our equipment operational. They get a A+ for customer service.

by:

The landing gears have work flawlessly. I have lubricated them once with Valvoline Multipurpose Grease #615.

by:

Four nuts and bolts, old one out and new one in, took 30 minutes, with a smoke break.

by:

Legs were a perfect replacement for the old ones in my trailer. Got them back in a couple hours and had the trailer back on the ground and no issues. These were a great replacement as well because they include grease zerks to keep the gears internally greased while the old ones did not which is probably why they went bad.

by:

Everything fit and works perfect, excellent customer service over the phone. Would definitely buy from etrailer again

Thanks...and a Merry Christmas....it has been working without fail....

by:

I am the original owner of a 2010 Montana Mountaineer 5th wheel. I replaced both the lead and follow landing gear. I studied the different landing gear available, and chose to try the cheaper items. These less expensive ones LC179014 and LC179013 were exactly the same as the old ones. Installation went smoothly, and they fit perfectly.

by:

They are easy to install and work great.

by:

I had bent the inner shaft on this landing gear because I did not raise it enough before moving. The new landing gear fit perfectly and videos spelled out each step. Very pleased with the replacement.

  • What Holds Inner and Outer Landing Gear Tubes Together on Lippert Landing Gear Follow Leg
Thank you for the photo of your 5th wheel landing gear leg. My technical contact at Lippert Components confirmed that on their landing gear legs such as this follow leg # LC179014 the outer tube has two pinch points that are intended to prevent excessive extension of the inner tube. These pinch points are also intended to prevent the inner tube from completely leaving the outer tube. My contact indicated that for safety reasons it is not recommended to try to repair this jack leg; it should...

  • Troubleshooting Lippert Landing Gear Lead Leg Not Fully Retracting
It doesn't sound like the gears to me because you are able to retract all but the 2 inches, so I don't think the Lippert Components Venture Lead Leg Repair Kit for 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear # LC146059 will solve your problem. If the gears were bad, you'd be simply stuck or have slipping as you retract every full rotation. It sounds to me like the main threaded screw is stripped at the point it stops retracting. There is not a replacement for that part, so I recommend replacing the lead...
