Absorbs Road Shock and Reduces Chucking

Upgrade your trailer's suspension for a smoother ride with these cushioned Equa-Flex equalizers. These units deliver a ride as smooth as you'd get with torsion axles, but at a fraction of the cost. The rubber cores effectively absorb vibrations and bumps and reduce the back-and-forth movement known as chucking. Unlike standard cast equalizers, the Equa-Flex's rubber cores soak up this energy like a sponge instead of transferring it to your trailer and cargo. The result is a more comfortable ride with less wear and tear on your trailer.

Easy Installation

Illustration of a tandem axle trailer suspension system

It's easy to upgrade your trailer's standard suspension with a set of cushioned Equa-Flex equalizers. To begin, insert one bushing into each of the bolt holes on the equalizers. You will need 10 standard suspension bolts and 8 shackle straps (each sold separately) to incorporate the equalizers into your trailer's suspension system. Two of the suspension bolts will be used to suspend the equalizers from the center hangers, and the other 8 bolts will be used with the shackle straps to attach the equalizers to the double-eye leaf springs. If you would like to replace the bolts that attach the springs to your front and rear hangers as well, you will need 4 additional suspension bolts (sold separately).

  • Why Can't Correct Track Lift Kit be Used with MORryde CRE3000
Hey Brian, I believe you are asking about the Correct Track lift kit part # RR23QX and why it can't be used with the CRE3000 kit like part # MR87ZR. The clearance issue is the square brackets of the Correct track that would need to attach to the outsides of the CRE3000 but the angled brackets on the silver part of the CRE3000 prevent the square bracket from being able to sit flush with the equalizer. That's why the cushioned equalizers that do work like the part # LC279688 have a totally...

  • Upgraded Equalizer for 2010 Keystone Cougar Travel Trailer With 4,400 Pound Axles
If you would like to add the Equa-Flex to your 2010 Keystone Cougar you will need the # LC279687. The # LC279688 is designed for 6,000-8,000 lb axles so it would be overrated for your trailer. The # LC279687 is for 3,000-6,000 lb axles. You will want to measure the eye to eye length of your existing equalizers to make sure this is a good fit for your trailer. The # LC279687 measures 5-1/2" long. As long as your measurement is close to this then it will work well for an upgrade. If your...

  • Solution for Squeaky/Noisy Trailer Suspension with Equa-Flex Equalizers
The squeaking noise on your trailer is probably coming from the joints in the suspension creating metal to metal friction. So, unless your original Equa-Flex Cusioned Equalizers are damaged or corroded, what will make the biggest difference is to upgrade the existing bronze bushings (which are known for being durable but also noisy) and hardware with the Never Fail Tandem Axle Suspension Upgrade Hardware Kit for Double Eye Springs # LC281285. The Never Fail bushings in this kit are self-lubricating...

  • Equa Flex Equalizer Replacement Recommendation for TruRyde Equalizer TREQ310
You can replace the TruRyde Triangular Equalizer # TREQ310 with the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC279688, however there are a few things that you should take note of. First of all you will want to make sure that your axles are rated for 6K to 8K otherwise the ride will be too stiff. The second thing to notice is the dimensions of the centers of the eyes where your bolts will go. The TruRyde measures a width of 6-1/16" and a height of 4" while the Equa-Flex has a measurement of 7-1/2"...

  • Is There an Equa-Flex Equalizer Kit that Fits 2015 Eclipse Attitude 32SAG
The best way to determine if the Equa Flex kit part # LC279688 you referenced is going to fit is to compare it's dimensions to the dimensions of the equalizers you currently have. If they are the same or very close then they will work. I attached a picture of the dimensions of this for you to check out as well. If you have dimensions that are different let me know what you have and I'll see what the best option is.

The Lippert Equa-Flex # LC145546 is the closest cushioned equalizer from Lippert to fitting your Grand Design 2800BH. This particular kit is rated for 5K-8K axles. The MORryde CRE3000 # MR27ZR is going to be the best option for your camper. While this is rated for axles up to 8K all of the CRE3000 equalizers carry this same weight capacity. If you are measuring your current leaf springs and are getting 26 inches from the center of the spring eye to the center of the spring eye and they are older springs it makes sense that they were originally about an inch less than that because springs will flatten out over time. The best option we carry for your trailer is the 5-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 6,000 lb Trailer Axles # e34SR which measures 25-1/4" long from center eye to center eye. The Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers part # LC279688 would indeed be the best fit replacement for the Dexter Equalizers part 13-122 you have now. However, as you mentioned the vertical bolt spacing will be about 2" taller which does indeed mean that the trailer will be raised but not necessarily the full 2". If you are looking for a cushioned equalizer upgrade that would not raise the trailer I recommend taking a look at the E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System by Dexter Axle part...

You will want to use the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC279687 on your Forest River Cherokee Artic Wolf 23MLE 5th wheel. These equalizers are much closer to your 6-1/8" spread at 5-1/2". They are also designed for the lighter axles you have under your 5th wheel since they were designed for axles with individual capacities ranging from 3,000-6,000lbs. • Will the MORryde Premium Rubber Suspension Kit Replace Equa-Flex System with Correct Track
The Equa-Flex equalizers # LC279688 are already a cushioned equalizer that's designed to provide an upgrade to a stock suspension and being completely honest, it's rather subjective to say whether the Equa-Flex system is better than the MORryde Premium Rubber Suspension Kit # MR47ZR. With that said, I really like the fact that the MORryde system gives you a cross-member that's attached to the equalizers which acts to help provide some added support to the trailer frame, so it does have...

The Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers - Double Eye Springs - Tandem Axle - 6K to 8K # LC279688 measure 4 inches tall from bottom to top bolt hole, so if you use the same shackle straps and that is quite a bit taller than your equalizer you will add some height.
