Factory steel equalizers transfer every bump and jolt straight through the trailer. These MORryde 14-3/4" rubber equalizers soak up the impact instead. The built-in rubber inserts compress to absorb vibration and chucking, keeping the ride smoother and protecting the frame and your cargo from the constant pounding of rough pavement or campground washboards.
When one side of the trailer drops into a pothole or rut, the suspension needs room to react. These equalizers give you up to 3" of up-and-down travel so the wheels can move independently and keep the trailer level. It helps the tires stay planted and takes the harsh edge off sudden dips or bumps, making towing more controlled on uneven roads.
Strength is built into the design. Each equalizer is rated for axle capacities up to 8,000 lbs and measures 14-3/4" from outer bolt hole to outer bolt hole. With 9/16" bolt holes and a 3-1/4" height from shackle to hanger, the geometry fits standard double-eye leaf spring setups on tandem axles with a 42" wheelbase. The solid construction keeps suspension movement consistent under heavy or constant use.
Installation is straightforward—remove the old steel equalizers and bolt these in their place. The rubber design needs less upkeep than systems that rely on air bags or extra fittings. For a complete upgrade, pair them with MORryde’s heavy-duty shackle and wet bolt kit (sold separately) to add greasable bolts and bronze bushings for even longer life.
With a 2-year or 45,000-mile warranty and durable rubber-steel build, these shock absorbing equalizers provide lasting comfort and protection. They turn a harsh, bouncy tow into a steady, confident pull that keeps everything riding smoother from start to finish.

So far its all worth doing, the thing I would suggest is make sure youre axles are Aligned and the angle of your wheels are straight, check youre hangers for cracks.. its nice being able to Grease everything wet bolts kit makes this easy, thanks to everyone at Morryde and etrailer for all the help.

Since, I added the Morryde suspension. I also bought new leaf springs. It’s a night and day difference. We just travel from Massachusetts to Myrtle Beach and back. No more trailer sway. I actually had to take tension off my sway bars. It’s a must upgrade. Unfortunately them make everything on these travel trailers so cheep. It’s worth the upgrade.

Wow, that’s a journey right there. Really glad to hear you got everything back together and riding smooth again after all that. Sounds like you handled that repair like a pro too. That fix on the floor and insulation is some serious DIY work, and then knocking out the suspension upgrade in your driveway like that is impressive. I had to laugh at your wife calling to say how quiet it was, that’s when you know you nailed it!
