Rubber Equalizers Absorb Road Shock and Reduce Chucking

Rubber Equalizer Vs Standard Equalizer

Hauling a trailer that's still equipped with standard steel equalizers is bound to produce a less-than-ideal towing experience. This is because those standard equalizers allow the road shock from your trailer to transfer directly to your tow vehicle, resulting in a rough, bumpy ride.

In addition, road shock can put added stress on your trailer's frame, suspension, running gear, and more, all of which can lead to increased maintenance time and cost. It can also cause damage to the contents of your trailer due to constant chucking and jerking. And the last thing you want is for your electronics to be tossed around inside your RV before you set up camp, or for your horse to get jostled around as you bring him home from the show.

These rubber equalizers help to solve those problems. When road shock occurs while hauling your trailer, the rubber inserts absorb and dampen the vibration and bounce, resulting in a less bumpy ride. The inserts also absorb the back-and-forth movement to reduce chucking and jerking so that you don't get thrown around inside your cab.

CRE3000 Rubber Insert

Each of these equalizers also offers up to 3" of up-and-down travel. The more travel your suspension has, the better it is able to compensate for road shock. When you hit a pothole, for example, these equalizers allow your suspension to account for that dip on one side so that the opposite wheels aren't forced to compensate. As a result, you'll get a smoother ride, even when you're driving over uneven campground roads or speed bumps.

Easy Installation

These equalizers directly replace your trailer's factory equalizers, so installation is straightforward. Simply remove the shackle links from your factory equalizer and the shoulder bolt from the frame hanger. Remove the factory equalizer and replace it with the MORryde rubber equalizer.

MORryde Shackle Upgrade Kit

You can reuse your existing hardware with these equalizers, but we recommend using MORryde's suspension upgrade kit (sold separately). Factory shackle links wear out pretty quickly and easily, so replacing them with MORryde's thick, heavy-duty shackle links will save you the time and effort of having to frequently replace them. Not to mention you'll get easy-to-grease bolts and long-lasting bronze bushings with the kit for a totally upgraded setup.

  • How to Choose Correct Replacement Leaf Springs and Equalizers for a 2021 Coachmen 259FKDS
The determine the correct replacement leaf spring on your 2021 Coachmen 259FKDS you'll need to lift your trailer frame so the spring is hanging freely and then measure from center-eye to center-eye, then for the equalizer you need to measure center-eye to center-eye for the horizontal bolts and then from the center of the top eye to the centerline of the horizontal eyes. Be sure to also note your axle weight rating as well. I'm attaching dimensional photos from the Leaf Spring #e22YR...

  • Determining If Equa-Flex Equalizers LC314336 Will Fit 2020 Coachmen Freedom Express 257 BHS
Thanks for the pictures! Since your current equalizer is 14-5/8" long the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers - Double Eye Springs - Tandem Axle - 5.2K # LC314336 you were looking at will be an exact replacement. Based on the pictures it looks like from the center of the upper hole to the center of the bottom hole is around 3", and from the center of the upper hole to the center of the bottom hole on the # LC314336 is 3-1/4" as shown in the included diagram, so it will work just fine. • Replacement For 24 Inch 3,500 lb Leaf Springs & Equalizer Upgrade
Thanks so much for that info, and to replace your current leaf springs that are 24 inches apart from center eye to center eye, you want springs that are slightly shorter because over time they flatten out. So for replacements I recommend 23-1/8" long springs: - 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 23-1/8" Long # e59SR Then to replace your equalizer with a MORryde equalizer, you'll want to measure your axle from center to center, which will be your wheelbase, and the correct...

  • Recommended Trailer Alignment And Lift Kit For A 2014 Jayco Eagle
The Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit - Tandem Axle # RR23QX will work with tandem-axle trailers and RVs that have double-eye leaf spring suspension. The brackets in the kit will attach to the hangers and supply new, lower mounting points for springs, which will result in a taller ride height. The lift kit will not work with The MoRryde 3000 Stabilizers # MR34AR because it will not fit inside the raised portion of the equalizer.

Based on your measurements, the MORryde 14-3/4" Shock Absorbing Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailers w/ 42" Wheelbase # MR34AR will be a perfect fit for your trailer. Since you have 2-1/4" shackles I also highly recommend adding the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit # MR46ZR. This comes with wet bolts, bronze bushings, and 1/2" thick shackles that will last. We have replacement axles and leaf springs here at etrailer, but I would need more information to find the right parts. For the axle...

  • Recommended Suspension Upgrade for 2021 Keystone Passport SL
Upgraded equalizers are a great way to improve the ride of your trailer. In order to choose the correct replacement you will need to measure your current equalizer. The best upgraded equalizer is the one that matches your current equalizer dimensions. Matching the length (distance from center of left-most eye to center of right-most eye) is the most important. • Replacing 3,500LB Trailer Axles With 6,000LB Axles On 42" Wheelbase Travel Trailer
On an axle like the Dexter Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes # 35545E-ST-89 the maximum overall overhang(hub face to spring center distance) is 18" total. That will put your current axle 2" past the maximum with having an 89" hub face and 69" spring center. A 5,200lb Axle # e75SR will only allow for a 19" overall overhang, so you will need to move to a 6,000lb Axle # e65SR as it allows for a 20" overall overhang. This will require you to move to the 6 lug wheels. With the MORryde 14-3/4"...

It is a good way to measure for a replacement equalizer, but I always recommend verifying the equalizer length as different springs will allow for different length equalizers.
