Is It Worth Upgrading To Road Armor Equalizers From Equa-Flex On 2020 Grand Design 310GK 5TH Wheel?

Question:

I have 2020 GD Solitude 310GK with the Equa-Flex. Wanting to know the differences between Lippert Road Armor and Equa Flex suspension functionality besides size difference? Is it worth changing out to the road armor?

The main difference between the Equa-Flex # LC279688 and Road Armor # LC696740 is the placement of the rubber cushions. The Road Armor places the cushions above and below the mounting arm for the shackles while the Equa-Flex only has the cushions on the load side of the mounting arm. This leads to a better ride quality as less shock is transferred through the suspension. Everyone I know who has made this change has been very happy with the Road Armor equalizer. The 4" versus 3-1/2" height and 7-1/2" versus 6" width will not create an issue for installation on your 2020 Grand Design Solitude 310GK.

I do recommend changing out to the stronger MORryde shackle kits when you make the switch. These use thicker steel which is far less prone to stretching. We have them for either a 2-1/4" # MR46ZR or 3-1/8" # MR76ZR long shackle strap. This measurement is from bolt hole center to bolt hole center on your current shackle straps.
