Rubber Equalizers Absorb Road Shock and Reduce Chucking

Rubber Equalizer Vs Standard Equalizer

Hauling a trailer that's still equipped with standard steel equalizers is bound to produce a less-than-ideal towing experience. This is because those standard equalizers allow the road shock from your trailer to transfer directly to your tow vehicle, resulting in a rough, bumpy ride.

In addition, road shock can put added stress on your trailer's frame, suspension, running gear, and more, all of which can lead to increased maintenance time and cost. It can also cause damage to the contents of your trailer due to constant chucking and jerking. And the last thing you want is for your electronics to be tossed around inside your RV before you set up camp, or for your horse to get jostled around as you bring him home from the show.

These rubber equalizers help to solve those problems. When road shock occurs while hauling your trailer, the rubber inserts absorb and dampen the vibration and bounce, resulting in a less bumpy ride. The inserts also absorb the back-and-forth movement to reduce chucking and jerking so that you don't get thrown around inside your cab.

CRE3000 Rubber Insert

Each of these equalizers also offers up to 3" of up-and-down travel. The more travel your suspension has, the better it is able to compensate for road shock. When you hit a pothole, for example, these equalizers allow your suspension to account for that dip on one side so that the opposite wheels aren't forced to compensate. As a result, you'll get a smoother ride, even when you're driving over uneven campground roads or speed bumps.

Easy Installation

These equalizers directly replace your trailer's factory equalizers, so installation is straightforward. Simply remove the shackle links from your factory equalizer and the shoulder bolt from the frame hanger. Remove the factory equalizer and replace it with the MORryde rubber equalizer.

MORryde Shackle Upgrade Kit

You can reuse your existing hardware with these equalizers, but we recommend using MORryde's suspension upgrade kit (sold separately). Factory shackle links wear out pretty quickly and easily, so replacing them with MORryde's thick, heavy-duty shackle links will save you the time and effort of having to frequently replace them. Not to mention you'll get easy-to-grease bolts and long-lasting bronze bushings with the kit for a totally upgraded setup.

  • Replacement Leaf Springs and MORryde CRE3000 for 2021 Coachmen Freedom Express 292BHDSLE
What is the length of your current springs? Also what is the wheelbase distance between your trailer axles? With that info I can see what components you'd need.

  • Equalizer Upgrade Option For 2020 Prime Time Cursader 29rs
Hello Shane, thanks for reaching out. You may be able to use a MORryde equalizer like the # MR54AR, but I would need more info from you in order to say for sure. There is no way to look up your RV online to know your equalizer size and type. When replacing an equalizer, the replacement must be identical in size to the stock equalizer. There is a small amount of tolerance, like 1/2" or less but not much. Sometimes there is a number cast on your equalizer that we can reference. Your best...

  • Best Equalizer Suspension Upgrade For Tandem 3,500 lb Axles
Those are some good options, and the best overall upgrade (without getting too crazy like you said!) for your Jayco with tandem 3,500 lb axles is going to be the MORryde CRE3000 with the X-factor crossmember. The Road Armor is good, but the combination of the upgraded MORryde equalizers with the crossmember will give you more added benefit. The cushioned equalizers are going to provide you with a more comfortable ride due to their rubber construction and suspension travel, which is going...

  • Replacement MORryde Equalizers For A 2024 Forest River RV Sabre 38DBL
Hi John, When replacing your equalizers it's best to match the bolt hole spacings to prevent having to switch out/alter your other suspension components to fit the new spacing. You'll need to measure the horizontal distance between the shackle strap bolt holes and the vertical distance from the hanger bolt hole down to the center of the shackle strap bolt holes. Let me know what measurements you have on the current equalizers and I'd be happy to look for the correct fit.

  • Upgrading Suspension Equalizers 2017 Keystone Bullet Ultra Lite 251RBS Travel Trailer 43" Wheelbase
For your 2017 Keystone Bullet Ultra Lite 251RBS with the 43" wheelbase your trailer is most likely using either a 10" # MR54AR or 14-3/4" # MR34AR equalizer. You will need to measure your current equalizer from center of bolt hole to center of bolt hole where the shackle straps attach. You will also want to check the length of your shackle straps to find the correct upgrade kit. These are measured similarly to the equalizer from bolt hole center to bolt hole center. 2-1/4" Long Shackle...

While we don't have a way of knowing the axle spacing or wheelbase of the 3,500 lb axles on your Jayco White Hawk trailer, I can tell you how to find out, and it's super easy. What you can do is measure from the center of one axle to the center of the other, or from the center of one wheel to the center of the other wheel. Thank you for providing that information. Since your equalizer measurement is 10" you would not want to use the # MR34AR even though it is for a 42" wheelbase. Instead, you need the # MR54AR. This is also designed for a 42" wheelbase and matches your 10" equalizer length. For the wet bolts, bronze bushings, and shackles you need the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers. You will need to measure your existing shackles from center hole to center hole to choose the correct...

Your next step in trying to improve the ride quality on your 2021 Grand Design Reflection 303RLS 5th Wheel is to get a Rubber Equalizer. It all depends on your wheelbase when determining which kit to get. MORryde makes a great product that will really help. We have kits for 33" # MR87ZR, 35" # MR27ZR, 42" w 10" equalizer # MR54AR and 42" wheelbase with 14-3/4" equalizer # MR34AR. This is better than replacing the components you already spend time and money putting on.

I recommend using the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit # MR46ZR with the equalizers. These will allow the suspension to travel more freely and get the most our the cushioned equalizers.

  • Shock Kit for 2006 Keystone Passport to Stop Trailer Bouncing
The shock kit will do the best at preventing the bouncing since they dampen the movement of the suspension which slows it down. This is why vehicle suspension does not bounce like trailer suspension since vehicles have shocks/struts. If you have a 3,500 lb trailer axle with a 2-3/8 diameter the # RM-2450 would be what you'd need. If instead you have a 3 inch diameter axle which is the size for 5,200 to 7,000 lb axles the kit you'd need is the part # RM-2460 instead. These kits will work...
