Question:
Hello, my trailer has Dexter axles rated at 3,500 lbs each, 35inch spacing, with the Dexter equalizer #13-122. The entire suspension system: axles, bearings, brakes, springs and hubs are all Dexter. I have two questions: 1. Which EquaFlex Equalizer is the correct replacement part? Part #LC279688 appears to have the same width as the Dexter 13-122 about 7 1/2 but is significantly taller Dexter is just 2 7/8inch tall, the EquaFlex is 7 1/4inch tall with a 5inch vertical bolt hole spacing. Does this mean my trailer would ride higher as a result? 2. Does the correct EquaFlex replacement come with never failinch bushings or not? Your product descriptions, photos and videos conflict on this, probably due to changes made by LCI. As I upgrade my suspension Im looking to avoid wet bolts. Thank you.

The Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers part # LC279688 would indeed be the best fit replacement for the Dexter Equalizers part 13-122 you have now. However, as you mentioned the vertical bolt spacing will be about 2" taller which does indeed mean that the trailer will be raised but not necessarily the full 2". If you are looking for a cushioned equalizer upgrade that would not raise the trailer I recommend taking a look at the E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System by Dexter Axle part # K71-653-00 which will maintain around the same height as you have now but does use wet bolts.
The Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers come with the Never Fail bushing. I called my contact at Lippert to confirm this.

Would it be possible to lower the ride back down an inch by using the longer 3-1/4 shackle included with the Never Fail Kit? Are both of these options going to be too stiff for a 3500# axle?
