Why Can't Correct Track Lift Kit be Used with MORryde CRE3000

Updated 08/18/2024 | Published 08/16/2024

Question:

Jameson, What clearance issue arises for this with the CRE3000 kit? I am only interested in lifting my trailer and not shifting the alignment.

Hey Brian, I believe you are asking about the Correct Track lift kit part # RR23QX and why it can't be used with the CRE3000 kit like part # MR87ZR. The clearance issue is the square brackets of the Correct track that would need to attach to the outsides of the CRE3000 but the angled brackets on the silver part of the CRE3000 prevent the square bracket from being able to sit flush with the equalizer.

That's why the cushioned equalizers that do work like the part # LC279688 have a totally flat outside portion to them.

Would you happen to have any pictures of that? I’m looking at my CRE3000 equalizers that are mounted to flat bars of the Lippert shackles. Is the mounting hole on the RR23QX bracket so high that they continue low and interfere with the curled lip of the stabilizer? I have a picture of my stabilizer and it looks like it has plenty of clearance for a bracket. Is there maybe a way I could get a sample bracket or dimensions of a bracket I could mock one up?

@Brian I don't have any pictures or any other resources I can share but I can tell you that I was telling people that the two can work together and then we heard from a few costumers that the curled edge of the equalizer does interfere.

@JamesonC gotcha. I’ve done a little more research and found they may work together as you mentioned but it would require trimming the curled edges. It would make sense for you guys not to recommend it but seems it would be a minor modification without sacrificing any structural integrity.

@BrianH Yeah, I could see that allowing the fit and there might be some applications where it wouldn't cause any problems but we can't recommend it.
