Are Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers LC279688 and LC145546 the same other than hardware being included in the LC145546 kit? Why 4 bolts as opposed to 2 for the upper pivots or 6 for all 3 corners?

The Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC145546 that includes the 4 wet bolts has greaseable pivot points. This means you can replace the lower bolts that hold the pivot arms in place and replace them with the 4 wet bolts. This kit is rated for 5,000lb to 8,000lb trailer applications.
The Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC279688 does not have greaseable pivot points and is rated for 6,000lb to 8,000lb trailer applications.
Beyond those differences these are the same size with a 4" bolt height separation from the hanger bolt center to the shackle bolt center. With 7-1/2" in between the shackle bolt centers.
The Lippert Tandem Axle Equa-Flex AP Kit # LC64FR is recommend to be used with either equalizer to help the equalizer perform better and the suspension to be quieter. I recommend using the Grease Gun # L30416 with LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease # L11390 due to its ability to work well in cold and warm climates as well as being highly water insoluble.
