  • Limited Tire Clearance with Stock Tire Size on a 2006 Forest River Cherokee 27Q
We recommend having a minimum of 3" between the top of the tire and bottom of the fender in order to allow for proper suspension travel. However, based on the photo you sent I believe you need new leaf springs as the ones you have appear to be almost completely flat. This has then compromised your tire clearance. The flattened leaf springs could either be a result of overloading the trailer or just general wear. In order to replace them you would need to know your axle capacity and the...

  • Replacement Leaf Springs for Pair of 6,000 lb Axles
If you are measuring your current leaf springs and are getting 26 inches from the center of the spring eye to the center of the spring eye and they are older springs it makes sense that they were originally about an inch less than that because springs will flatten out over time. The best option we carry for your trailer is the 5-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 6,000 lb Trailer Axles # e34SR which measures 25-1/4" long from center eye to center eye. You do not want your springs to go over the...

  • Recommended Shock Absorption for Keystone Montana 5th Wheel with Tandem Axles
Trailer suspension uses different components for the air systems than the frame mounted suspension you are looking at. For your tandem axle Keystone Montana, I recommend the Lippert Components Trailair by Center Point Air-Ride Suspension Upgrade - Tandem Axle # LC1565391 which will give you adjustable air pressure in the form of an equalizer for your leaf springs. If you want a trailer with air suspension, this is the way to go with adjustable air springs that can use manual valves or...

  • Suspension Upgrades For A 2011 Keystone Cougar 5th Wheel Trailer
Hi Brian, To ensure you're getting the correct fit you'll want to measure the spacing horizontally from eyelet to eyelet and vertically from the hanger bolt eyelet down to the center of the shackle strap eyelets on your current equalizer. The equalizers in kit # K71-652-00 have a horizontal measurement of 5-3/4" and vertical measurement of 2". The included shackle strap kit comes with a 2-1/4" spacing so it wouldn't be the correct fit for your trailer. The most common sizes are 2-1/4"...

  • What Suspension Upgrade Kit For 2021 Grand Design Momentum 29G Trailer
Hi Luis, I sure can get you the exact suspension upgrade for your 2021 Grand Design Momentum 29G trailer. Grand Design is one of the only trailer manufacturers that has any info about the parts on their trailer (which we love around here), and so I know that the equalizer you have is the Curved Equalizer # TREQ104. The exact kit you need, which includes an upgraded cushioned equalizer, wet bolts, and heavy-duty shackle straps, is the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-652-00.

  • Best Auto Leveling System for 2014 Keystone Avalanche 5th Wheel Trailer
They definitely can Luis! The Ground Control systems are the most convenient, easiest to use leveling systems available, and allow you to level your 5th wheel by pressing a button. The only thing you'll have to determine is which set-up you need, the 4-point system item # LC358590 or the 6-point system item # LC675817. I attached a diagram below that will show you the measurements you'll need to take. The 4-point system item # LC358590 will be correct if the distance between the center...

  • Looking For Replacement For 013-143-03 Equalizer And Dexter Shocks On 2018 Cruiser 2916 RV
Hey Bill, thanks for reaching out. The best replacement for your Dexter 013-143-03 Equalizers are the Dexter E-Z Flex # K71-652-00. This is identical in size to the current equalizer so it will be an exact replacement. This kit comes with new wet bolts and 2-1/4" shackles so please make sure the current shackles are also the 2-1/4" from center hole to center hole. As far as replacing the shocks, the Replacement Dexter Bolt-On Shock Kit # K71-697-00 is what I recommend. These shocks are...

  • Measuring Axle for Proper Shock Absorber Kit
For the proper shocks, you simply measure the axle diameter. If you have a 3 inch axle diameter then you will use the Lippert Components Bolt-On Shock Kit w/ Heavy Duty Gas Shocks # LC281281. If you have a 2-3/8 inch diameter axle then you will use # LC281255. The connection to your axles is the difference in the kits. The shocks themselves are 13-1/2 inches fully extended and 8-5/8 inches compressed in both kits. A super easy way to determine this is to measure the backside of your...

  • Can E-Z Flex Rubber Suspension System Work w/ Wide Trax Trailer Suspension
I have a possible solution for you, but unfortunately the E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System such as the 5-5/8" Equalizers # K71-652-00, will not work with the Wide Trax suspension on your trailer. The axles on a Wide Trax system are spaced further apart and the required equalizer components are significantly larger than the E-Z Flex Systems. A much larger equalizer like the 14-5/8" Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers, part # LC314336 may be the correct length. You will want to measure...

  • Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers and MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for 2018 Jayco J-Flight 33RBTS
Hi Bernie; the LCI52 designates these as 5,200 lb axles but that is further specified as 5,145 lbs since they're probably custom so you are correct. You can use the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC279687 but you need to measure your current equalizers first. The most important thing when choosing an upgraded equalizer is making sure it matches or closely matches your existing equalizer. The measurement you're looking for is the distance between the left and right bolt holes (center...

  • What is Cushioned Equalizer with Shorted Distance between Front and Rear Bolts
Hey Dan, I would be willing to bet that if you jacked the trailer up a bit it would allow the worn out equalizer to stretch out a bit and it would be a little longer. That said the shortest (front to back) cushioned equalizer we offer that would work to replace your Equa flex would be the Dexter part # K71-652-00 which has the distance between the bolts of 5-3/4 inches. Your Equa flex was originally this long as well.

  • Locating Replacement Leaf Springs for Dexter D44 Tandem Axles and Recommended Upgrades
In order to find the right replacement leaf springs, you will need to raise the trailer up and take some measurements on one of the existing springs. This type of information isn't typically provided by trailer manufacturers and it's not something that can be determined by the axle capacity (many different leaf spring lengths could be used with 4,400 pound tandem axles). With all the weight lifted off the leaf springs, you will just need to measure their length (from the center of one...

You can also measure your current equalizers to make sure # K71-652-00 will be the correct replacement for your trailer's suspension. • Best Upgrade for EQ104 Trailer Equalizer
Yes, the E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System part # K71-652-00 will be a direct upgrade for the EQ104 Equalizer. The part I really like about the E-Z Flex is that in addition to the cushioned equalizer upgrade which will help smooth out the ride you get much thicker shackle straps which will be more durable and it comes with wet bolts for easy maintenance. Therefore, it's more of a complete suspension upgrade in relation to other kits that simply replace the equalizer.

  • Upgraded Equalizer for 2014 Winnebago 2351DKS
Hi Jeff; the MORryde # MR87ZR won't be a good fit since it measures 6-1/2" on center. When you upgrade the equalizer you want to use one that matches your current measurement if possible. This keeps your geometry suspension the same so you won't end up with problems instead of a nice upgrade. Also, you won't really notice a difference between brands so matching the equalizer size is the most important factor when choosing one. Based on your measurements I recommend the Dexter E-Z Flex...

  • Cushioned Equalizer Upgrade Recommendation for 2012 Forest River Work and Play
Mark, the Dexter EZ Flex part # K71-652-00 can be used to replace your # TREQ310 and is cushioned like you are wanting. The 25-1/4 inch leaf spring size is very common but you didn't mention what axle capacity you have so if you needed a 5k spring you'd part # e44sr, 4k axle part # e57SR, or 6k axle part # e34SR. Keep in mind going with a little higher of a capacity than needed is perfectly fine.

  • Trailer Suspension Enhancement to Help With Bumpy Ride While Empty
Hey David! Trailers without a load are generally more susceptible to bounce so that is not surprising to hear. This can be really uncomfortable, especially if you're towing like that often. An upgraded equalizer will help, however, I think shocks would be a better choice in this case. Shocks work in both directions (up and down) so they will reduce that bounce and smooth out the ride. Do you know your axle capacity? If you have 3,500 lb axles you can add two of the Lippert Bolt-On Shock...
