Question:

Ok, my axle spread is 35” Center to center, and my lower bolts on the equalizer is roughly 7” Center to Center, leaf width is 1 3/4” but my shackle are roughly 3 1/4”.

If you would like to add the Equa-Flex to your 2010 Keystone Cougar you will need the # LC279687. The # LC279688 is designed for 6,000-8,000 lb axles so it would be overrated for your trailer. The # LC279687 is for 3,000-6,000 lb axles. You will want to measure the eye to eye length of your existing equalizers to make sure this is a good fit for your trailer.

The # LC279687 measures 5-1/2" long. As long as your measurement is close to this then it will work well for an upgrade. If your equalizer is significantly longer then you will need a different system that also fits with your axle capacity. More than likely these will work for you.

For wet bolts, bronze bushings, and heavy duty shackles I recommend the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers. The correct kit will depend on the length of your current shackles. If you have 2-1/4" shackles then you need the # MR46ZR. For 3-1/8" shackles you will need the # MR76ZR instead.

I reached out to Lippert and based on your equalizer measurements you will want to go ahead and go with the higher rated # LC279688. It sounds like based on your shackle measurements you need the # MR76ZR with the 3-1/8" shackles. With your 35" axle spacing you may also want to consider the MORryde Premium Rubber Suspension Kit for Tandem Axle Trailer - 35" Wheelbase # MR47ZR.
