Most brake controllers clutter up the cab or get in the way of your knees. This one tucks neatly under the dash, using a slim control box just 3-3/8" long x 3" wide x 7/8" thick. With the main unit hidden, your interior stays clean and unobstructed. The built-in 3-axis accelerometer senses travel direction at any angle so it delivers smooth, even braking no matter how it’s mounted.
Instead of another box or knob on your dash, your smartphone becomes the interface. Through the OneControl app, you can set maximum braking output, adjust sensitivity, and apply manual override right from your screen. Once paired over Bluetooth, the connection takes about five seconds and stays stable even if mobile data is off. If the Bluetooth link drops, the controller keeps working safely using your last saved settings.
With proportional control, trailer braking matches how hard you press your vehicle’s brakes for consistent deceleration. An internal 3-axis accelerometer measures inertia and sends the right amount of power to the trailer brakes—light when you ease up, firm when you brake harder. It works with trailers that have 1 to 4 axles (8 brake assemblies) and supports electric trailer brakes for balanced, reliable stopping.
No splicing or complicated wiring needed. The included custom harness plugs directly into your vehicle’s factory brake control port. Mount the control box under the dash with the adhesive pad or zip ties, connect your trailer’s 7-way plug, and let it calibrate—it takes about five seconds until the LED turns green. Built-in diagnostics display status codes through simple LED indicators to make troubleshooting easy.
For anyone towing more than one trailer, switching setups couldn’t be simpler. The OneControl app lets you store and recall multiple trailer profiles so you don’t have to reset brake force or sensitivity every time you hook up a different rig. Just swipe between saved profiles and get on the road faster with all your preferred settings ready to go.

This is the old obsolete model of Curt Echo which has to be installed under the dashboard. The newer version, which attaches to the electrical system in the rear of the vehicle, is superior and now preferred by most trailer owners. The above version should be taken off the catalog.
This is my first proportional brake controller. Stopping is much smoother without sacrificing safety. Communication by bluetooth makes for a clean installation.
This is my first order with etrailer.com . The Curt Custom Wiring Adapter was as advertised and came on time as promised.
I had shopped around at All the big three auto parts places (except "NAD*) only to get the same answers: "You have to splice those things to mak'em work"....cost could be around $50-150 bucks" OR " We can't get the connectors from our company". This was not true.

This controller took me literally 15 minutes to install with the required pigtail and my Rubicon with factory towing package installed. When I initially downloaded the app and connected, it actuated and locked the brakes. I simple deleted the app and reinstalled and everything worked normal.
The screws for the bracket did not fit into the plastic bushings in the bracket. I have got hooked this up to a trailer with brakes, yet, but everything else seems to work, including the adapter for my Silvy1500. Note that this review bears no negativity on etrailer, but he manufacturer of the brake controller. Stop letting China manufacture our goods and get better product reviews. I have had good experiences with etrailer.com, they always ship fast and deliver quality installation guides. Kudos to them!
This thing does everything you could ask a trailer brake controller to do. Easy to install, easy to adjust, and performs flawlessly. And it is priced right where it should be.
E-Trailer had exactly what I needed for my new model year vehicle that I couldn't find elsewhere. The product was accurately described and the installation manuals were available online which helped tremendously in making a purchasing decision. The order was placed on a Sunday and a shipping notification was received on the same day literally minutes after the order was placed. Item was received within 3 days...can't ask for better than that.

Was not aware this device draws on the battery constantly. I don't daily drive my truck and have had to replace the battery twice in one month due to being drained below the point where they could be recharged. $[XX] later and this controller removed, I've not had any problems with the battery
After waiting for almost 1 month I finely received my order had too return one order that was not mine and had to wait until I got instructions on returning it. I have placed 3 different orders with etrailer but the last one was a mess, I don't known where you get the people that work in shipping but I think that a 4 year old could do a better job also when you have a complaint U wind up talking too four or five different persons and no one knows what you are talking about the only person that was of any help was Kim P thanks young lady
This brake controller has to be unplugged when not in use or it drains the battery in a few days. I had to have a electrical test done in my vehicle ($XXX). The etrailer tech said the test was done incorrectly. The Chevy dealer claims it was accurate. I’m left with a problem.
Needed a brake controller I could rely on because I was pulling my camper to a site at the top of a 25% grade within a few days. Unit plugged right into the harness for the factory brake controller (with the adapter cable) on my 2014 Ford F-150,and worked perfectly. Bluetooth connectivity works through the app (rather than through the phone's "settings" icon),and connects instantly. I'm very pleased with this product.
As first time truck and pop-up trailer users, we initially purchased a cheaper brake controller that required drilling the dash. This is a new truck, so we decided to switch and spend more for the Bluetooth. etrailer was easy to work with for a return, and the Bluetooth brake controller is fantastic - so easy to use with our new trailer!
I really wanted a trailer brake controller that I didn’t have to stick an ugly knob/box hanging off my dash. This was my solution and it works perfectly. Plugged right into my Honda Ridgeline existing plug, and easily connected to the app on my phone. Nice setup.

I love this product. I have had many tow vehicles over the years. Wiring a brake controller always took a little time. This plug in device makes the job simple.

I was looking for a trailer brake controller that did not require a permanent mounting to the dash or center console of my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. I initially considered the wireless bluetooth controller from Curt Echo that plugs directly into the 7-pin outlet next to the tow hitch. However, reviews from individuals that tow RV trailers identified that particular option prevents the 12v battery on the trailer from charging off of the TV while connected. This would limit the RV utilization during long trips involving boondocking.
The Curt Echo under-dash controller seems to solve that problem and uses the same user interface as the Curt Echo.

My favorite is with the app and on selected active profile you can see the amount of brake amount is being applied to the trailer when the vehicle brakes are applied. I also install the manual override button. FYI: you don’t need the app on your phone open for the controller or the manual override button to work. Also another nice feature of the manual override button is the size about the size of a quarter, uses a CR2032 battery and the battery level is displayed in the app.
Works great. Easy to follow online installation instructions for the wiring adapter - no problem!

It works just fine, no problem at all.
This was relatively easy to install under the dash of our 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, especially since ours has the factory Trailer Tow Package and therefore an existing pigtail connector ready to connect to the brake controller. The Curt wiring adapter made it super easy to connect the Brake Controller to the vehicle's wiring harness. The controller was easy to calibrate and worked seamlessly while we're towing a rented trailer. We used a dedicated (older) cell phone to operate it while we're towing to avoid any potential interference from other apps rather than using our regular phone on which we receive phone calls texts, etc. This was our first time towing a trailer and this easy-to-use Brake Controller helped make us feel safe and comfortable. Highly recommended.

PRODUCT WORKS PERFECTLY. JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED.
Do not buy either the Curt Under-Dash or plug-in Wireless brake controllers until Lippert fixes the phone app. I’ve used both happily with the old ECHO Smart Control app. I could use the remote manual button with the phone app not even running. As one would reasonably expect the button talked to the controller directly via Bluetooth. The new OneControl Auto app must be running and in the foreground to use the manual remote! And the most recent version of ECHO Smart Control is non-functional, it just tells you to install OneControl Auto.
The break controller worked seamlessly. Profiles are easy to set up and it has very reliable Bluetooth connectivity with my phone. Installation was really easy on my Honda Pilot!
Quality product made my install simple and neat!
Nicely constructed cable but the end that mates with the GMC interface does not lock in place and will occassionally fall out cause the control to be inoperative. Have to stop the vehicle and get under the dash to plug back in. Very inconvenient. Not sure if the issue is with the cable or GMC's interface.

The plug on the interface end does not lock in place and easily falls out of the interface module if bumped. Otherwise works fine.
The pigtail was nice. But the brake controller was junk. Never could get it to work right. Got tired of messing with it so I gave it away and bought just a simple controller and it does what I need it to do. All the setting just made it more complicated than it should.
