Mounting panel creates a factory look for your Toyota or Mitsubishi's dash when you install the control knob from your Tow-Pro Elite or Liberty brake controller. Drilling template and self-adhesive tape included.Parts arrived FAST and I could not be happier with the installation and final look of the brake controller. It truly looks like it was installed at the factory. I painted the embossed words on the switch panel so it would match the other switches.
I bought a new Bronco Sport which does not have a factory brake controller option. I found the next best thing. a Redarc Tow-Pro Elite. I did not want the traditional box hanging under the dash as there is a knee air bag there. This unit can be mounted anywhere and in any position, with just a tiny knob to control it. I put the knob in a blank area in the headlight switch. Looks like it was factory installed! I took it for a test drive and it works perfectly, nice smooth proportional braking.
This was the solution I was looking for. I didn't want to mess up my Highlander's dash with something clunky. The whole system works perfect and I couldn't be happier.
I have the Towpro Liberty and a 2018 4Runner. The specs for the switch said 2019 and above but it doesn't seem like much has changed. This trim piece fit well, but the switch itself was wide so I had to lightly dremel some of the side parts of the hole it went in, that said the trim piece has tabs at the top so it was all perfect. Looks great!

Perfect fit in our 2020 Toyota 4Runner. Saved me from drilling out an exiting switch blank, so if I were ever to remove the controller to sell the truck it could easily be returned to stock.
Oddly, the trim bezel that comes with the TowPro Elite to go behind the control knob won't fit properly, as the knob can't be depressed when it's in place. No matter, as it's not needed anyway and looks fine without it.

Still pleased with how this switch fits and integrates into our 4Runners instrument panel. I wasnt certain that using the far left side blank would prove convenient rather than the partially hidden one to the right of the steering column thats closer to hand, but it has proven to be a good, readily accessible place for the control knob. Also loving the RedArc TP Elite controller. Strongly recommend it. Note that while the application list shows 2009-2012 4Runner for this mounting panel, it fits perfectly in our 2020, and should therefore fit MY2010-2022 models, since they use the same switches and blanks.
great to see the factory look inserts for the 4runner! looks so much better than the bulky controller sitting under the steering wheel
Rob helped me order all the items necessary to get a electronic brake controller installed on my 2017 Tacoma. Installation was easy and looks professionally installed. Great service! etrailer has always been great to work with. Online videos are very helpful.

We have gone on over 7trips with our trailer which almost Max's out the capacity of our Highlander and it only took 2 stops to adjust the trailer brakes, from then on it has performed flawlessly on every occasion, even through the mountain roads of Colorado. The best part, it looks stock and nobody knows it's there.
The part itself looks great. I had my vehicle selected and this was the recommendation, but this does not fit a 2022 Highlander XLE. Apparently, the XLE needs TPSI-011, the square bottom insert.

Yes, this one fits the 2008 - 2019 Highlander. Part # RED48FR will fit 2019 - current Toyota with the square-shaped switch blanks.
Very happy mounting panel. Looks factory equipment in my 2019 4Runner. Or at least it will when I white out the letters like another reviewer did.

Shortly after I wrote this review I used liquid white out to fill in the letters. Looks like it came from the factory.
These panels give a factory installed look to a 2021 Toyota Tacoma.

Still working in an excellent manner.
This mounting panel worked for where Imounted it on my dash. The location I chose needed quite a bit of cutting and trimming but ended up being a very professional looking install. It was too small however to install in one of the blank spaces ...so I couldn't just take out a blank and install this mounting panel...but that's ok ...I didn't want to install it in the location of the blank anyway.
The trailer brake controller works well and integrates well into our 4Runner.
The brake controller was not difficult to install.
I like the fact of controller is in dash area of vehicle with just one control knob shown. Shipping was fast and all items are as described.

I am very careful with anything for my Taco. I had to install a brake controller to tow a double axle trailer with electric brakes. The Redarc Elite was not only easy to install it exceeded my expectations in its operation. Above all the control switch for it looks as good as a factory install. Nice job.

Operates as designed.
2017 Toyota Tacoma SR5 dual cab V6 4x4. Installation was simple enough to DIY. The additional purchase of the control knob face plate was a good choice. Excellent customer service and communication from etrailer!
Unit installed in under an hour. Blue LED light illuminates when knob is depressed. My tow-behind camper is currently in storage, must wait to test/calibrate system before our next trip. Thanks for a quality Redarc product!

Simple installation under dash of my 21 Tacoma. Watched a you tube video from red arc and went exactly as described.
Very nice integration. I will share one piece of useful information I stumbled upon.... access to the back of the central panel on my 2021 Tacoma Off-Road (Manual) was looking like a big job. I found a post that indicated access could be gained by pulling/un-snapping the frame around the information display and removing the four bolts retaining the display. Carefully lift the display out and support it. Reach through the opening and you will be able to reach the back of the panel insert to squeeze and release it. Pictures attached. Please disregard the pollen coating EVERYTHING.
