Question:

I'd like to install a brake controller on my 2022 Ram 1500 Classic, but I don't want the box hanging from the underside of the dashboard. I like the idea of a remote mount like the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty, but I'm not quite feelin' drilling a hole in the dash of my new truck for the knob. Are there other alternatives?

I can understand your hesitation about drilling a hole in your brand new dash, I'd be a little leery of that myself.

If you have a smart phone, we have the perfect solution for you. Curt recently released the Under Dash Echo wireless brake controller, part # C27JR. The control unit installs under the dash, out of sight using the # C51458 brake controller harness that plugs into the tow package connector under the dash. The connector is located to the right of the steering column, above where the driver's right knee would be. I'll provide a photo showing what the connector looks like.

I'll also link to a video showing a typical brake controller install.
