Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendations for a 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon Wilderness

I have a 2022 Outback Wilderness and am looking for confirmation as to what hitches will fit. It appears from your site that three choices are the Curt C67JR, the Draw Tite DT73RR or DT94MR. Can you also provide information as to a wiring kit that provides a 7 pin outlet. Thanks

The Curt # C67JR and Draw-Tite # DT73RR and # DT94YR trailer hitches do all fit your 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon Wilderness but I actually recommend going with our etrailer version part # e25TR because it has the hidden crosstube for increased ground clearance like the other options, but more importantly it has a matte black finish that is more subtle but more durable than the classic glossy black finish the other options have.

For wiring we'll start with the T-One # 118467 for the basic light functions and then add the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 to give us a fully-functioning 7-Way. I also recommend picking up the No-Drill Mount Bracket # 18136 so you can secure the wiring near the hitch receiver.

If the purpose of the wiring is to eventually add a brake controller I recommend checking out the Curt Echo Under-Dash Trailer Brake Controller # C27JR with the Curt Connector # C51515. This controller pairs to your smart phone so you can adjust the settings in the app and then the controller remembers what you've chosen in regards to braking performance. This keeps the controller out of your way and out of sight!

To complete your towing setup I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # e67DR which has a 2" drop which is pretty standard need for towing applications.
