Curt Echo Says Trailer 7-Way Disconnected But it Isn't

Question:

Installed, app downloaded and paired. I get a warning that Trailer 7-way has become disconnected from the vehicle. Safely stop the vehicle and reinstall connectionsinch But nothing is disconnected. I have not been able to get past this point of the set up.

Generally when the Curt Echo Under-Dash # C27JR says the 7-way is disconnected but it isn't, the issue is actually the 7-way is problematic, either on your vehicle or trailer. I'd check to make sure the 7-way on both does not have bent pins, or corroded or damaged in some way.

i have same problem but using echo bluetooth. i replace on trailer new 7way and replaced juction box. evrything on trailer works. also echo is paired to my truck and all working on other trailers im at a loss

@GeoffreyZ Have you checked the ground on your truck and trailer as well? It sounds really simple, but you'd be surprised at how many wiring issues are the result of just a poor ground connection.
