When you’re driving with gear up top, wind noise can get old fast. The JetStream crossbars have an aerodynamic shape that helps smooth airflow, while the push-down rubber strips fill the top channels to cut vibration. This design doesn’t just look sleek—it keeps your ride quieter and steadier on long highway stretches.
Whether it’s kayaks in the summer or a cargo box for a cross-country trip, these aero-style crossbars are ready for it all. They work with most universal cargo, water, snow, and bike carriers that mount in the top channels or clamp around the bars. You can easily change out your setup depending on what you’re hauling without needing different racks.
Some racks make you cut strips to fit your accessories, but this one skips that hassle. The push-down rubber strips in the top channels let you press hardware directly into place—no trimming required. It’s a small detail that saves time and keeps everything sealed tight to reduce noise and wear.
When you’re loading up heavy gear, solid construction matters. The Yakima system includes two 50" long aluminum JetStream crossbars and four SkyLine towers built for reliable strength. With a weight capacity of 165 lbs (always stay within your vehicle’s roof load limit), you’ll have confidence carrying everything from camping gear to watercraft for your next outing.
If you like to leave your rack on between trips, Yakima’s Same Key System (SKS) lock cores—sold separately—can help protect your setup from theft. They secure the rack to your towers using one matching key, adding simple peace of mind when your vehicle is parked overnight or at the trailhead.

Tghe racks have remained on since I installed them correctly, no thanks to your video. I read the manual it came with.
