Because it doesn't require a permanent installation, the Hornet is great for transporting your bike when you're renting a vehicle. And if you're worried that vacuum cups won't stay attached to your vehicle, you can rest assured because each vacuum cup provides 120 lbs of suction, giving you a total of 240 lbs of pull strength. Your bike isn't going anywhere! Additionally, the rack stores easily in your trunk or garage when not in use, or in your suitcase while traveling.
SeaSucker vacuum cups are designed to install on your rear window without causing scratches. Each 6" cup is rated to hold up to 120 lbs. The housing and plunger are constructed of durable plastic with rustproof stainless-steel hardware, and the rubber pad is UV resistant up to 5 years. The included Lube Tube lets you keep the plungers in working condition.
To install the rack, make sure the mounting surface is clean, moisten the surface of each cup, place both vacuum mounts on your window glass, then press each plunger several times until the orange bands disappear. Slide the protective pads over the ratchet straps and set your bicycle's handlebars in each mount. Tighten the straps to secure your bike in place and rest your bike's seat against the hatch. Suction in the cups will decrease over time, so make sure to check the plungers before you get into your vehicle. When you see the orange indicator bands show simply re-pump the plungers.
The cam-buckle safety strap helps provide extra stability and prevents your bike from separating from your vehicle if you neglect the orange bands and the cups lose suction. To install, simply tuck the plastic peg into your hatch seam and tighten the strap around your bike's handlebar stem.
To break the seal on both cups and remove the rack from your vehicle, simply pull the T-shaped tabs up and towards the center of the cups - it's that easy. Remove the vacuum cups and store them in your trunk or garage, or put them in a storage bag or suitcase to take with you.

Stores in your trunk or luggage when not in use.I have a step-through sport utility bike that I can’t put on a standard bike carrier because the frame doesn’t have a top tube. My car is a hybrid & will not accommodate a trailer hitch. My car is an SUV, so a roof rack is not practical for me. Hatchback bike racks are not suitable for the particular make & model of my SUV. The Seasucker Hornet seemed to be my only option. I’m happy to say that the Seasucker Hornet solved my problem & now I can transport my bicycle anywhere.
Clever idea but difficult to mount a bike if you have angled handlebars. Plus seems a bit sketchy--you have to check the mounts every 4 hours as they lose suction.

I have used this rack a lot and never had any problems. Moved it from car to car no issues. Drove down the highway over 70mph held tight. Even used with a heavier bike no problem. Great purchase for one bike. Super easy to use. Giving it a big thumbs up!!!
I was REALLY wary about this but it was my only option for a last minute trip. I was even more nervous because I had to put it on during a downpour. It didnt budge at all on my 2 hour trip.
