Roof Rack For Thule Tracks On 2025 Nissan Frontier LEER Cap

Hey Stephen! For the Thule tracks on your LEER cap you can use the Evo Fixpoint Feet # TH49SC along with the Fit Kit # TH42KE. The closest Thule crossbars to the length you're looking for are the 69" ProBar Evo crossbars # TH713600.

Before going that route, how far apart are the tracks on your cap? Thule's mounting channel underneath the crossbars doesn't run the full length of the bar, so the track spacing will determine whether they will work.

As an alternative, you could use the 70" Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00427. The mounting channel runs the full length underneath the JetStream bars, so the track spacing isn't a concern. For the complete rack you will need the following:

-Yakima JetStream Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 70" Long # Y00427

-SkyLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars # Y53TR

-Landing Pad 1 for Yakima SkyLine and Control Towers # Y00221 (two of these)

We have previously confirmed that the Yakima setup will fit the Thule tracks, so mixing brands won't be an issue.

@StephenD the landing pads are what allow you to mount the feet and crossbars on the rails so they are required. If you look at the # Y00221 product page you can see the anchor plates/square nuts on the bottom that go into the rails/tracks on the Leer.

@RobinH Robin: Ok the situation has changed. I want to apologize for the delay in getting back to you but I had to do some digging. Here is what I am dealing with now: I found my old Yakima rack that I had on a Snug Top Cap several years ago. The cross bars are round and 58 inches long (which is fine). I do not have the landing pads for the towers so will need 4. The problem is I can't tell which pads I need as I seem to have left then on the truck when I traded it in. The towers have the round locking pins. I can send pictures if you tell me how. From what I read I think I need Landing Pads 10 for Yakima cross bars; however I am not absolutely sure on that. My TRACKER II rails are mounted on my Leer Cap now and they are 41 and 1/2 inches apart. I can send pictures of the rails and the towers if you tell me how and where to send them. Again, sorry for the delay. I appreciate your help and patience. Steve

Also - I need to say that I would like to have the pads that allow maximum weight for the cap. I get the impression that different landing pads are rated as to the weight they can carry.

@Steved no problem at all. Based on your description, it sounds like you have the older Yakima Control Towers, and those are compatible with the Landing Pad 1 # Y00221. You will need two sets since each # Y00221 includes two landing pads. Landing Pad 1 is also the correct option for the style of tracks used on LEER caps, so you do not need Landing Pad 10. Your 41-1/2" track spacing will work fine with the 58" Yakima RoundBars you already have. The different Landing Pad numbers are for different mounting applications rather than different weight capacities. Your overall capacity will be limited by the lowest-rated component, including the LEER cap and installed tracks (although it is probably your towers or crossbars). If you'd like, send me pictures of the towers and tracks and I can double-check.
