The box was destroyed but other than some missing paint I don't think anyone could hurt this hitch because it's a tank. I would like suggestions on what paint to use for touching up the scratches.

I bought it to replace the 2 1/2 inch OEM hitch (2015 F350) which is nowhere near this capable. I'm looking forward to installing it and no longer worrying about tongue weight limitations. As always thanks etrailer! You remain one of the best companies I've ever dealt with.

Crappy product even more a joke of a company. Don't waste your time or hard earn money on this junk. Not quality controlled. Nothing lines up. etrailer won't even try to help you. They are a joke. All they can say is can you flex it back. You mean the product that I bought specifically for my 06 f250. That's 1/4 steel. Yeah maybe if a had a 500 tool for that job... just stay away from this company. They do bad business. Period

Nice hitch, very robust, feels and looks a lot better then the factory hitch, bolts right up no issues. Nice bolts and hardware. Don't have to worry about the factory 10,000lbs issues on hardware.

by:
2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty

I used this to replace my factory Ford 2 1/2 inch hitch. This thing is twice as heavy and has a lot more rating. I strapped this monster to my motorcycle jack and installed by myself. I tow a 26 ft. deck over triple axle trailer. Thank You.

2001 Ford F-350 Super Duty

This is my 3rd Class 5 hitch from E-trailer. they have all been great. Well made and obviously a significant upgrade over the manufactures original hitch. E-trailer has been a pleasure to work with and I will continue to use their online business. Great company and great product.

by:
2001 ford F-250 Super Duty

Installed on 2001 F250, replaced the factory hitch that had excessive wear in the retaining pin holes due to years of use. Trying to smooth out the ride with 10k lb camper in tow. So far so good. No issues with installation.

by:

Well built hitch and very easy to install. Needed a hitch capable of towing a 12K loaded toy hauler and this hitch easily handles the load. Very happy with it after using it for the last year.

by:
2002 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Beast of a hitch. Fitted in an hour on my own. Did need to move electrical connector though. 02 F350.

by:

Easy to install. The old one was a Class III, once we got that one off, it was about 20 minutes on install.

by:

Great hitch, perfect fit and heavy built. No modifications needed to install. I use it everyday.

by:
2013 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Wow, I'm very impressed. Fitment on my 2013 F350 XL is excellent.

Somehow, this hitch tucks under the bumper better than the factory hitch, despite the added bulk of the upgraded hitch.

The only minor downside is losing the factory 7-way mounting points, but this is easily solved with a couple bolts drilled and tapped into the underside of the bumper support.

2005 Ford F-350 Super Duty

REceived quickly and in good condition. Quality Curt Hitch.

by:

I absolutely love this hitch. I run a livestock farm, which means towing heavy very often and switching frequently between multiple different trailers. The factory hitch from Ford is severely underrated for the truck without a weight distributing hitch (which won't work well with our frequent off-road use and pintle hitches). This was an easy bolt up project. Took me under an hour alone, and would have gone much faster with some help. I can now run my business and go about my day without worrying about having an underrated hitch in my setup. Highly recommend this upgrade for anyone in a similar circumstance.

2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Curt receivers are great quality, plus etrailer had my order shipped the same day and was delivered the next day!

One lesson learned for me was this particular hitch (15810) does not fit with the spare tire on a 2008 F-250.

Thanks again for a great product and extremely fast shipping and customer service! I definitely recommend using etrailer over large box stores.

You are absolutely correct, Joshua. Spare tires larger than 20 inches will not be able to be stored in the original location underneath the vehicle.

1999 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

The Curt 20,000 pound commercially rated receiver is is built like a battleship! And while it was difficult to man handle alone, I was able to install it using the eight supplied bolts in about 20 minutes. The fit was positively perfect, so someone at Curt did their homework on the design. The only complaint I have is that unlike my Reese Hitch, it did not include the 2" reducer sleeve. A lousy $15 difference! Don't be cheap, for this kind of money it should be included. Now I get to pay $25 in shipping for a $15 part.

2017 Chevrolet Traverse

Ordered Thursday evening just before Memorial Day weekend, and arrived Tuesday afternoon. Was shipped out very quickly with update emails through the entire process! Although the box was a bit torn up from shipping the hitch was still in great shape with all hardware and the wiring for another vehicle I ordered, in the box. Hitch is amazing quality, VERY heavy duty, and bolted right into place! I did have to forgo the nice factory wiring/plug mount and zip tie them into place, but other than that it was a perfect bolt on affair! Will definitely do business with these folks again

by:

Easy to install and does what it says. I pull a 36 foot three axle bumper pull toy hauler with a loaded weight of 13,500 lbs and a tongue weight of 2,200 lbs. No problems whatsoever, would highly recommend this receiver.

by:

Wanted a 2.5 receiver for my 2001 Super Duty. Went through two different DrawTite receivers first. The first one had a crooked receiver tube. Never tried to install. The second one I tried to install but it hit the bumper before being able to tighten up to the frame. etrailer was great about sending prepaid labels to ship back. Just a pain to have to re-wrap and take to UPS drop-off. etrailer would not send the Curt as a replacement. Got credited for the DrawTite hitch and I ordered the Curt Hitch. Had it installed in 20 minutes. Factory wiring harness mount bolted right up. Curt hitch is well built and seems to have a better finish than the DrawTite.

Hitch extensions over 18 inches aren't very common because of the stress and torque they put on the trailer hitch and vehicle frame. For a 30 inch extension, the first place we will want to start is with your truck's trailer hitch.
