Great hitch! I definitely tested it beyond its rated capacity hauling dirt with pintle hitch and a dump trailer without issue. Now if they just made one for a Dodge 12v Cummins?

I checked and the closest that I have is part # DT45505
Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V - 2-1/2"
$258.74
for a 6.5 or 8 ft bed with a standard or step bumper. It is rated only at 12,000 pound capacity however if used with a weight distribution system then it increases to 14,000. It is a 2.5 inch hitch receiver. I wish I had one that was rated 20,000.

Curt receivers are great quality, plus etrailer had my order shipped the same day and was delivered the next day! One lesson learned for me was this particular hitch (15810) does not fit with the spare tire on a 2008 F-250. Thanks again for a great product and extremely fast shipping and customer service! I definitely recommend using etrailer over large box stores.

You are absolutely correct, Joshua. Spare tires larger than 20 inches will not be able to be stored in the original location underneath the vehicle.

We have heard of the loops on Class V hitches being too thick for standard safety chain hooks. You can use loop safety cables like # RM-910648-12
RoadMaster 12" Safety Cable Extensions - 1 Pair

through each chain hole and secure the ends together. You can then just attach your safety chains from the trailer to the quick links on these cables. These have a weight capacity of 8,000 pounds.

The hitch has held up nicely for the year that I have had it on my truck. It is very stout. The paint has held up well to the elements so far. It went on fairly easily and all of the holes lined up. It was helpful to have a second person to help hold the hitch in place in order to get the first bolts in. I purchased this hitch when I realized that the hitch that came with my truck was only rated at 3500lbs, a fair bit less than the trailer I tow.. The box that it came in barely held up to the shipping monkeys on the way out to the Seattle area.

The Curt 20,000 pound commercially rated receiver is is built like a battleship! And while it was difficult to man handle alone, I was able to install it using the eight supplied bolts in about 20 minutes. The fit was positively perfect, so someone at Curt did their homework on the design. The only complaint I have is that unlike my Reese Hitch, it did not include the 2" reducer sleeve. A lousy $15 difference! Don't be cheap, for this kind of money it should be included. Now I get to pay $25 in shipping for a $15 part.

Ordered Thursday evening just before Memorial Day weekend, and arrived Tuesday afternoon. Was shipped out very quickly with update emails through the entire process! Although the box was a bit torn up from shipping the hitch was still in great shape with all hardware and the wiring for another vehicle I ordered, in the box. Hitch is amazing quality, VERY heavy duty, and bolted right into place! I did have to forgo the nice factory wiring/plug mount and zip tie them into place, but other than that it was a perfect bolt on affair! Will definitely do business with these folks again

Easy install. Be sure to remove the spare tire. It is heavy 75# and at 60+ years old a little cumbersome. I just wired it up to the frame, then installed the bolts... Simple.

2012 Ford F-350 Super Duty

10/10, used this to replace the stock 12.5k hitch on my 2012 F-350 SRW, recommend for pulling heavy loads, thing is stout-definitely built heavy duty. I use the 2.5” curt 20k lbs 2-5/16 ball Pintle combo to tow a 16k dump trailer and equipment trailer regularly. Use two people for the install it’s about 80lbs. Only thing I didn’t like was that I had to drill and tap mounting holes for the OEM Ford trailer combo plug mount, not a big deal just a little more work to keep the harness/plug setup all the same. Fits fine w/ 20in stock wheel/tire size on the 350 SRW, just had to hold the spare offset some since this hitch doesn’t swing out like the stock one, no big deal just thought I’d throw that out there as that was one of main concerns before I bought this.

2002 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Great solid hitch. Easy to install on 02 F250. Is tight around factory wiring receiver and have to nudge spare forward to go up all the way. Make sure you run the nut all the way up and down the bolts with a wrench before trying to put them on the truck, the zinc coating makes it really tight. Use the red locktite after aligning the hitch with the frame as extra assurance.

I bought the whole kit. 20,000 lbs hitch, ball, receiver, and pin. It was easy to install as the instructions said. Being a heavier hitch, yes the help of a jack was needed but it bolted into place exactly where the old hitch mounted. All new hardware installed and torqued as directed. I have towed a few new trailers in the last month up to 16,000 lbs and I like it. My original hitch was only rated for 10,000 lbs and a friends F-350 hitch is only rated for 6,000 lbs. I have a feeling you will be selling another hitch soon. I have peace of mind that my equipment will handle anything I tow.

I upgraded to this hitch and reciever from my factory hitch and reciever on my 00 f350 7.3 to safely pull my 34 foot trim axle bumper pull. It was easy to install and is noticable sturdier than factory. I tow my tractors and my mud trucks (including my military duece) on a regular basis and haven't had any flex in the setup at all (bent the factory setup). Definitely an affordable upgrade if you plan on hauling any loads

Installed on 1999 F350 superduty. Hitch is massive, really love it. It took about 1-1/2 hours to cut the old hitch bolts off and 15 minutes to put the new hitch on. All hardware included. Spare tire fit right back in. All fit perfect and etrailer had great pricing and fast shipping. Couldn't be happier.
