Question:
Wait, one more thing. The roof rack mounts you recommended are for 20-29 inch tires. Is there a mount for 18 inch tires? The kids start out on 18's

The best route is to mount your 2 adult bikes to a trunk bike rack and mount the 3 children's bikes onto the roof of your 2019 Ford Fiesta hatchback. For the trunk rack, I recommend going with the Saris Bones 2 # SA805BL. The Bones 2 comes with a 35 pound per-bike weight capacity and has anti-sway cradles to eliminate movement during transport. It is important to note that if you have women's-style frames or step-thru adult frames, you need to use a bike frame adapter bar # 64005 for those adult bikes in order to attach to the arms of the Bones 2. To protect the rack and the bikes from theft, I suggest the passive security strap # TH533 along with the etrailer cable lock # e98891.
As for the kid's bikes, in order to mount them to the roof, you need a crossbar system. For that system, I recommend the following roof rack:
- Yakima JetStream Crossbars - 50" # Y00425
- Yakima BaseLine Towers # Y28TR
- 2 sets of the BaseClip Fit Kit # Y06148
- Same-Key Lock Cores # Y07204
With this particular roof rack, you receive the benefits of having an extremely aerodynamic design. This includes less wind noise and increased fuel efficiency. With this setup, you have a 165 pound maximum weight capacity. As with all roof racks, we always recommend consulting with your Ford owner's manual to make sure your roof can support the weight you wish to transport.
As far as the bike racks for the roof, the best option is 3 of the Yakima FrontLoaders # Y02103. The FrontLoaders are perfect for kids bikes with 20-29" diameter tires. On your Fiesta, you will have the 40-pound capacity for the racks. Also, since the racks only measure 9-1/4" wide, you have enough crossbar space to fit 3 on your bars. The great thing about mounting the kids' bikes on the roof is that you do not need to worry about not being able to use bike frame adapter bars with them.
I went ahead and attached some helpful review videos for you to check out.
